Our cottage is a renovated 18th century Granary building located right on the shores of Lough Arrow in the heart of County Sligo. With Sligo town just a 25 minute drive away, it’s a great location for exploring all that this beautiful part of Ireland has to offer. Fishermen have been coming for fishing to Sligo for as long as we can remember and for over 20 years we have been hosting fishermen in the adjacent to Lough Arrow Cottage. The space The Granary house is a tastefully decorated cottage. we're one of two Airbnb properties sharing a common driveway way. Set in mature gardens along the lakeshore, the views are stunning from the living room. Centrally heated with underfloor heating downstairs, ground floor facilities include a well equipped open plan kitchen, living room, TV snug with wood burning stove & a toilet. Upstairs are two bedrooms, a twin bedroom & a double bedroom. Both en-suite with Electric shower in one and bath in the other. From its south facing glazed wall, the living room opens on a sheltered patio with steps up to the garden terrace. There are tables & chairs on both the patio and terrace. There is a fire pit with BBQ grill and picnic benches. The garden has footpaths to the lake shore with several benches to sit and dream and a private jetty to launch your boat and to enjoy the magnificent scenery. Guests can bring their own boat and use our own private jetty on the lake shore OR our 19ft row boat is available to hire for €25 / day or €100 / week. Please request when booking if you wish to use the boat and payments upon arrival please. Unfortunately The granary house is not suitable for young children under 6 years old due to close proximity to the lake and the layout of the house and its delicate contents. Guest access Entire house and its surrounding garden, and its path leading to the Lough arrow lake at the rear end of the gaden with private access to our private jetty. pls note the logs at the end of our garden are for our own personal use. Other things to note our guests have use of our 19 ft rowing boat for fishing or drifting away taking in the magnificent scenery of Lough arrow at EXTRA cost. Includes life jackets, which must be worn at all times. we ask the guests to please request before using the boat when booking.
