Description
This idyllic French stone house can sleep up to five people. It has two bedrooms, a large living room with a woodburner, a fitted kitchen with a large dining table and two shower rooms, one on each floor. The rear bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the garden with a ruined abbey and the Charentaise countryside beyond. Outside there's a summer kitchen, a small terrace and a lawned garden. The village has a delightful cake shop, a popular restaurant, artisanal stores and a museum. The space This stone property is very well appointed with rooms furnished to a high standard with everything that a guest might need for a comfortable stay. Guest access Behind the wooden gates, there is a small gravelled driveway for off-the-road parking which can accommodate up to two cars, one of which can be beneath the covered car port. Additional parking can be found in the centre of the village just a short walk away. A car is required as there is no public transport in the village. The nearest rail station is in Ruffec (16 km). Other things to note Although there are neighbouring properties on either side of the house, the property feels very private.
