The cabins interior is decorated with primarily local artisans’ handmade furnishings and yard sale finds. The cabin is perched high in the hills, just south of the Adirondack Mountains. The sprawling property covers 200 plus acres with sweeping hillside and mountain views. The spectacular sites go on for eternity with endless views of Amish and Mennonite farms that blanket the hills like a patchwork quilt. Come and sit on one of the four porches or balconies that have commanding views of the Mohawk Valley. Most that have visited the cabin say “with views like this, who would ever want to leave!” “You can reach and touch the sky from here”. “The place wants to make me dance”..... hence the cabin’s name “Camp Dancing Crow”. This “little piece of heaven” is where you can listen to the evening calls of the wild coyotes’ on the hillsides. Flocks of wild turkeys and herds of wild deer roam freely. The site is a Birder’s and wildlife paradise. Many morning and evenings you can sit on any of the covered porches to witness the neighbor’s hot air balloons as they launch passing overhead and at times landing on the property. It is truly a sight to see! During the hot air balloon festival we laid in bed one morning watching 60 balloons travel directly overhead, just grazing the top of the cabin. With swooshing sounds that went from roars to complete silence that was energizing! In the summer evenings, on many weekends and holidays you can sit on the porches and watch fireworks from the surrounding areas. Some nights you will see fireworks from several different locations, all from the comfort of the cabin porches. The sun glistens off the snow covered fields.” The Red Cardinals are like fire balls darting through the snow. The wild animals own the hillsides without seeming to even know that anybody is here. We hope the cabin inspires you at the land of Camp Dancing Crow! Guest access We offer a 3 person hot tub outside on a covered deck. We also have an outdoor barbecue. The Master Bath has a 2 person steam bath you're welcome to use, the button for the steam is on the wall outside the shower and the temp control is inside. We have large LCD TV's in the Living Room & Master Bedroom which both have a fire stick and along with several network apps such as Directv Streaming and Amazon Prime Video, History, , ETC... Washer and Dryer in Master Bathroom. Guests have full access to the home. Other things to note A/C and Heat The Main Floor and Upstairs have a radiant floor heating system that are controlled on each floors wall thermostats. It can take an hour or two to feel the heat coming up through the floors. It is recommended to use the ceiling fan to circulate the A/C in the upstairs as the ceiling are very high! Because of the remote, hilltop location there is a 700 ft. gravel driveway, which is well maintained. Free Internet access with WiFi is available through a high-speed fiberOptics to the home service. Cell phone reception is very good. LTE service is usually 3-4 bars with Verizon. Since the elevation is at about 1200 ft, the wind can be a bit more gusty during storms so when you leave each time make sure the storm door latches. The breezes are typically constant and balmy.
