About the host
Description
Bright, very quiet apartment, 31 sqm, decorated with a lot of love. Free Wi-Fi. Easily accessible from all directions, on the edge of Dresden's Neustadt, a Wilhelminian district full of charm, history, culture, scenes, pubs and shops. Other things to note The apartment is located in the middle of the lively Dresden Neustadt district - the perfect location for a stay in Dresden! On the streets of Neustadt, it can be relatively noisy on weekends, so it is ideal that the apartment is located on a quiet one-way street on the edge of the district. You enjoy the benefits of being quickly in the middle of the action and still being able to sleep quietly. The round dining table overlooking the garden invites you to linger and is a wonderful, sun-drenched place not only in the morning. The garden is available to our guests at any time. Separated by a wall from the kitchen area and with a sliding curtain from the seating area, the bunk bed (1.40 m wide) is located at a height of about 1.30 meters, including the sliding and flexible wardrobe and space for the suitcases. The room is connected via the entrance hall to a separate bathroom with a floor-level shower. Also accessible from the hallway is a separately used, private consultation room. Within walking distance you can reach numerous bars and pubs, restaurants and cafes. The nearest coffee is available at the Institute for Good Neighborhood at the corner of Nord at the end of the street. There are also (organic) food and supplies, occasionally a concert or a whiskey tasting ... For larger shopping, there is also a supermarket with a bakery just a seven-minute walk away. Maybe you'll stop on the way there at the Patisserie émoi with German and French baked goods ... There are numerous leisure opportunities in the surrounding area, such as a cinema (ten minutes' walk), bouldering and climbing hall (five minutes' walk), various theaters and galleries. In addition, the entire district is characterized by old Wilhelminian architecture and some houses such as the Kunsthofpassage are particularly eye-catching. The surroundings of Dresden's Neustadt are extremely child-friendly and there are numerous playgrounds, small forests and above all thousands of playmates. The Alaunpark can be reached in two minutes, where you can picnic, barbecue, play boules, Frisbee, soccer, volleyball or whatever your heart desires on a beautiful day. With us, you can also rent a slackline. On request, we can provide you with our beloved Holland tandem for your excursions. If the "playground" Alaunpark becomes too small, the Dresden Heath is only a ten-minute walk away, through which the small Prießnitz meanders and invites you to take a boat ride. Longer hikes and bike tours through the heath are a wonderful pastime and well-developed and signposted hiking trails and mountain bike tracks make planning easier. If you are in the mood for a larger river than the Prießnitz, you should go to the Elbwiesen, where you can cycle, walk and inline skate. Stroll towards the Blue Wonder and beer gardens! Or head towards the old town and take a tour of Dresden's historic city center. Because even the famous buildings, such as Semperoper, Zwinger, Town Hall, Castle and Frauenkirche can be reached at a leisurely pace in a good half hour. The connection to the public transport network in Dresden is excellent. In four minutes you can walk to the tram stop Alaunplatz, from where you can get almost anywhere within twenty minutes and without a break around the clock. The Neustadt train station is about 20 minutes away on foot, from which you can reach the Dresden area (such as Saxon Switzerland) or long-distance destinations with many suburban trains and trains. The nearest S-Bahn station at Bischofsplatz is 1.1 km away and in about 10 minutes or 2 tram stops.
