This wooden house is sitting on the main beach of the Cambodian village of M’Pai Bay located on the island of Koh Rong Sanloem, off the coast of Sihanoukville. Guest access 🌊 M’Pai Bay Village, is accessible by ferry boat from Sihanoukville We recommend two companies coming to M'Pai Bay: GTVC & BUVA SEA Check their schedule on their website. 🚌 We also recommend CAMBOTICKET for all transportation in Cambodia. 🛺 Install Grab for Tuktuk and taxis from the Sihanoukville AUTONOMOUS Port Round trip is $25 The journey takes about 40min with sometimes a quick stop in Saracen Bay or Koh Rong Island. Ask for M'Pai Bay, Village 23 as your final destination. 🏝️ 📍Once you arrive at the village's main pier, take a left and walk down the beach for 2minutes until you get to MY WAY, right before the gold bridge on top of the river. You can't miss it, all Blue & White with the nicest bit of beach and palm trees 🌴🌴🌴🌴 🏠 Guest can use the house as it's theirs. Organize lunches, dinners, little parties.. Enjoy the beach and the authenticity of a Khmer community. Pillows for the beach are inside the house next door, feel free to use them and set them up around the fire pit for the best moments. You can use the kitchen freely and anything you see I just please ask you to respect the house like it was yours and to let me know if you encounter any problems. Restaurants, bars and supermarkets are open in the village. I will add you to a messenger group where you can see what is available during your stay. We are lucky to have some of the best food you can find in whole Cambodia. From cheese & wine, to traditional Khmer food all the way to Western dishes and fresh catches of the day! The rooms are upstairs, the stairs leading to them are a bit stiff. Each room has a comfortable queen size bed with a mosquito net, a fan, fresh towels, pillows and bedsheets. They are nice, charming, clean and comfortable with en-suite shower rooms - without doors - Only one bathroom has a hot shower 💤 The walls are not very thick as it's a wooden Khmer house. The privacy can be limited. The living area is downstairs It has a bar, tables, sofas and chairs. You can enjoy your meals, play boardgames or just relax while looking at the beautiful view. 🍴There are many restaurants around and you can also buy fish from the fishermen and cook it on the barbecue. 📳 Feel free to contact me if you like to order charcoal, water or anything else, it can be delivered directly to your door. We don't offer the full hotel services but you can hire a staff if you like for an extra fee. Other things to note THE HOUSE The three rooms are upstairs - Two rooms have a sea view One of then room has a hot shower - One Room has a window with a different view. - covered terrace overlooking the sea where Enjoy the beach in front of the house with lounges, tables and pillows. If you get a chance when it starts to rain, please put back the pillows inside. There is some lights and a bonfire pit you can use if you are careful. THE BEACHES The beach in front of the house is clean and safe. You can walk 10min to our Long beach with no one there or get a bit adventurous and walk all the way to Clearwater Bay (45min) to discover one of the world's most beautiful beach. You can join Boat Tours for snorkeling, fishing or just hopping Check AdventureCo on the main street of the village or contact Buntheon our friend and Capitain, he speaks perfect English. (his number is on a wooden board between our house and the direct neighbors Lost&Found) You can also always address to the house behind ours. The Khmer family, rents kayaks, sell fresh coconuts and also can bring you fishing. PLANKTON You can go see it on your own by walking to Long Beach in the evening or you can join a boat tour. The best time to go is when the date is close to the New Moon. Avoid lights from boats and the moon. Swim and shake the water, it's magical! GROCERIES We please ask you to buy your groceries in the village since you can find anything you need. You have little local shops and mini mart open until midnight everyday called WinWin CLEANING The house will be ready and cleaned for you when you arrive. If you like to have someone clean the house for you, the common spaces or the rooms everyday, please let me know and I will organised it for you. please note that it will be an extra charge that you will have to pay directly to the staff. LAUNDRY SERVICE *If you desire your laundry to be washed, ask our staff and allow 24 to 36hours to get it back ($1/2 per kilo) SWIMMING The beach is in front of the house, it is clean and safe to swim in it. You can snorkel just a few meters away and enjoy the marine life. At night, if there isn't any lights, you can see the plankton! You can relax, swim and snorkel directly in front of the house. (Our neighbor rents masks and tubas for $1 a day) MONEY There is NO ATM on the island Make sure to bring enough cash with you ABA is available almost everywhere and you can do cash out at the mini mart for a small fee. You can find many ATM machines at the Autonomous pier in Sihanoukville. INTERNET There is no Wifi on the island but you can buy a SIM card from SMART or CellCard to have a good connection. Some places offer internet. Just remember it's a remote island and sometimes internet or electricity can stop for a few hours. But it really doesn't happen often. They have upgraded the generator.
