The space The home has a fully secured front and back yard. This spotless, cosy and peaceful getaway is a short 5 minute walk to a Ventnor beach. Some of the activities my family have enjoyed are swimming, paddle boarding, rock pool exploring, fishing and beach cricket, just to name a few. The Island Retreat beach house is located in a gorgeous tree lined and quiet neighbourhood to suit people in need of rest and relaxation yet still close in proximity to the main town of Cowes. The Island Retreat has been thoughtfully set up for your holiday needs. It has an open plan living, diving and kitchen area with everything you could need for holiday entertaining, including a smart TV, WIFI, coffee machine, Weber BBQ, games for your entertainment. All consideration has been made to provide all your cooking needs for your holiday. Complimentary coffee pods, tea, sugar, olive oil, vinegar and spices are also provided. The two bedrooms have quality linens and towels. (Please remember to bring your own beach towels however). The large North facing entertaining deck is a great space for enjoying the morning or afternoon sunshine. You might find it difficult to leave this relaxing area! There is a Weber BBQ for your outdoor entertaining. The trampoline in the back yard has been a huge hit with families. Please note that the fire brazier is no longer available. Red Rocks beach is 5 kms away and the hustle and bustle of Cowes is only a short 8 minute drive. Over the summer there is a buzz of excitement and energy to the Island. Over the cooler months, the Grand Prix track fires up and is not far if you want to feel the adrenaline of the crowd. Winter is a beautiful time of year where you can go whale watching or walk along the beach. The reason I have always enjoyed staying in Ventnor is the location. The excitement and energy is a quick drive into Cowes for example, but I know, if I want some down time, 'The Island Retreat' is waiting for me. :) Guest access Outside there is off street parking available. Driving or cycling in Ventnor is a breeze with few cars on the road, especially in the cooler months. Other things to note A few minute walk will take you to the beach and also nearby is the Ventnor Bushland Reserve where a multitude of wildlife live and the sounds of the native birds can be heard.
