Lake Iseo, the Romantic Choice is the official slogan of our Lake. Come and discover an area still unspoilt by mass tourism and near many interesting cultural and naturalistic places. Lakes, mountains, historic town, Unesco heritage places: all within one hour by car. The space The house is on 3 floors and it is in the old village center. The house has no car entrance, no parking: you will have to walk less than 200 metres from the parking in the main square The house is on 3 floors with a wide spiral starcase. It is in a sunny position, central in the village and quiet. For relaxing outside, we have a hammock, deck chairs and barbecue. And the view on the lake and the mountains, of course. In few minutes you can reach Lovere and Sarnico, or Riva di Solto (the small Portofino). Bergamo and Brescia are 1 hoir away, and a little more to reach Milan. In the Iseo Lake there is Montisola, which is the biggest lake island in Europe. In Montisola cars are not allowed (there is only a mini bus) but you can hire bicycles there. Ferry is 7 km from Fonteno. Try a one-day or one-night cruise on the lake with dinner and music! In Lovere there is a windsurf and sailing school and it is possible to hire the things for windsurfing. In Fonteno there are one bar, one food shops, the post office, three playgounds for children, two hotels/restaurants and one agriturismo (rural restaurants in farms); on the whole territory there is plenty of restaurants. Fonteno is a great place for hiking. Directly from the door you will be able to follow the many paths which will take you to our mountains with great views on the lake. We are near several touristic places: Lago Iseo 5 min, Lago Endine 5 min, Franciacorta (world famous wine district), Valcalepio (wine district), Lovere 15 min, Sarnico 20 min, Iseo Bergamo Milan Venice Mountain and skying facilities from 40 min. Verona Padua Garda Lake Montisola. Guest access Parking in the main square on in several parkings in the village. All parkings are free of charge and with no time limit. Access with a lock-box at the hpuse entrance. Other things to note Last but not least: this is a house in a "real village": this means houses are very near to one another. You will hear the sounds of everyday life from the village: voices, music (if someone plays it…), and above all the sound of the bells, that strike the hours day and night. In July you will hear the music coming by the so called "Fonteno Beach", a free swimming pool installed for children not far from the house.
