If you are looking for a 'home away from home' in the heart of Shropshire, then you have come to the right place. Greenoak is a converted dairy barn, renovated during 2021 to provide a peaceful stay away in the Shropshire countryside. Our barn is perfect for couples who want to retreat and unwind amongst the best of the British Countryside. Highlights at Greenoak include your own private hot tub in the secret garden and a central double-sided log burner. The space Greenoak offers beautiful accommodation for 2 guests in a converted barn. The property comprises of an entrance room, wet-room style bathroom, open plan kitchen, diner and lounge, and a large bedroom. At the heart of the barn is a double-sided log burning stove which can be enjoyed from both the bedroom and main living area. At the back of the barn is your private enclosed secret garden complete with outside dining and a luxurious hot tub. The property is well equipped with everything you need to rustle up a nice meal, if you do find yourself short of anything your hosts are very close by to help out. The kitchen offers a fridge (with freezer compartment), microwave, toaster, kettle, hob, and oven. We provide tea, coffee, sugar and milk to help settle you in. Within the living area you will find a dining table, large leather sofa, 32- inch TV, double-sided log burner and bookcase with a selection of books and games for your enjoyment. The bedroom is complete with a king-size bed, large wardrobe, iron, ironing board, vanity table and full-length mirror. Linen, towels and a hairdryer are included to help make your stay more comfortable and stress-free. The barn sits in the grounds of the farmhouse and also offers access to a garden and pond area, a 2-acre dog exercise field (not 100% enclosed so lead-based exercise for the more adventurous of dogs!) and views of the beautiful Shropshire Hills. Don't forget to pack your wellies! Shropshire is a landlocked historic county in the West Midlands. Bordered by Wales, Cheshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire there is almost too much to explore! The well–known towns of Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Market Drayton are only a short drive away, as are a huge selection of local pubs, beautiful walks, fine dining, and great days out. Guest access The best access to the local areas is definitely by car. Plenty of parking is available immediately to the front of the barn. We are also on a bus route, the bus can be stopped for collection at the end of the driveway if you are looking to leave your car behind. If you are looking to travel via taxi we would recommend booking a couple of days in advance. Other things to note Please note no smoking in the barn. Dogs are more than welcome at Greenoak however to a maximum of 2 well-behaved dogs. Please note there is also a resident dog living on the premises. An additional charge of £25 per stay will be applied. You will find a Welcome folder on arrival providing you with all the information you require for your stay including “How To” manuals, an A-Z as well as local information for sightseeing, restaurants, pubs, and other attractions. If you have any special requests or are staying with us for a special occasion please feel free to contact us and we would be more than happy to see if we can assist you with your plans. Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out is 10:00 am. Late check-in and check-out is subject to availability. Kindling, fire starters and logs are provided for your stay, however, if you require additional logs this can be requested subject to a charge. We hope you have a truly memorable stay at Greenoak.
