Charming Umbrian Retreat: 2BR/2BA Gem near Assisi

Our Agriturismo Podere La Fornace is a historical place, family-owned for more than 200 years, only 3-4 kilometers or 5 minutes by car from the beautiful UNESCO world heritage town Assisi. The scenery is magic with the view on Assisi and the farmhouse being surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and fields of crops. La Fornace is perfect for guests who want to explore Umbria - pretty much all major sites can be reached within 60 minutes - but it is just as perfect to take a break and relax. The space THE APARTMENT "THE CHERRIES" PRESENTS AN AREA OF 55 SQUARE METERS. IT HAS TWO SPACIOUS BEDROOMS, EACH WITH A DOUBLE BED OR, AT YOUR CHOICE, TWO SINGLE BEDS, AND A PRIVATE BATHROOM IN EACH ROOM. IN ADDITION, IT OFFERS A LARGE LIVING ROOM WITH A SOFA/SINGLE BED, THUS ALLOWING A TOTAL OF 5 BEDS*. THE PRESENCE OF A KITCHENETTE PROVIDES ADDITIONAL CONVENIENCE. THE APARTMENT IS EQUIPPED WITH A REFRIGERATOR, DISHWASHER, STOVE/HOBB, SAFE, TV, WI-FI CONNECTION, AIR CONDITIONING, AND INDEPENDENT HEATING. AN EXTRA BED OR CRIB FOR SMALL CHILDREN CAN BE REQUESTED. Guest access All our guests can use our big panoramic outdoor pool with a size of 8 x 16 meters and a picturesque view on Assisi, depending on the weather it is typically open from May or June until September. We provide sun loungers, umbrellas and pool towels for you, so all you need to do is RELAX. :-) Children can have fun at our little play ground on the lawn between the house and the pool. We have bicycles which you can use to get around as well as an outdoor ping pong table. Our arrival lounge (which by the way was a stable back in the days) is not just where we will meet you, you can also sit there and read, play games, have a relaxed drink and in the colder months sit in front of the historic fireplace. We'll gladly help setting up activities for you, there is such a big selection to choose from. Let’s start with the ones right here at the agriturismo: wine tastings, chocolate lessons, painting lessons, massages, yoga, meditation, hairdresser services etc. Then in the area: pottery, jewelery, bicycle tours, guided walking and culinary tours, paragliding, hot air balloon, truffle hunting, visit of a cashmere goat or alpaca farm, you name it… Other things to note Breakfast is not included in the price but can be added for single days or also the entire stay. Our Italian breakfast with coffee/tea, juice, Italian toast with jam and nutella and pastries costs 6 Euro per person. We have 4 electric mountain bikes available for rent to our guests, so reserve as early as possible to ensure their availability for your use. They are excellent for visiting Assisi and other neighboring villages. Much easier to park. Part of the La Fornace family is our 3 cats Giorgio, Filipo, and Lulu. Assisi has a city tax of 2 Euro per person (12 years and above) per night, with a maximum of 6 Euro per person per stay which we have to collect latest upon departure.
