Calo Jungle Camp

Cozy little huts, one with queen size bed and one with 2 singles, surrounded by lush tropical rainforest. Enjoy the sounds of the forest, watch native birds and wander down the path to the little beach fringed with beautiful Calophyllum trees, hence the name Calo Jungle Camp. NOTE: The listing price is for one hut only. If you are more than 2 (up to 4 people) it is an extra $50 per person for the second hut. The space Set on 20 acres of rainforest, a steep and winding walking track leads to tiny Calo Beach; alternatively, the wide sandy Garners and Brooks Beaches are only a short walk away down the road. Calo Jungle Camp is rustic but comfortable accommodation comprising two huts, one with a queen size bed and one with two single beds. The huts are earth house style, screened from insects and built from recycled materials. The camp is rented out to one party at a time. Even if you don't use the second hut, there won't be other people. Calo Jungle camp also has an outdoor kitchen with gas stove, esky (you supply the ice), sink and bar, an outdoor bathroom and a pavilion with a large dining table and an outdoor fireplace. The camp is equipped with rooftop solar for lights and USB-charging and a rainwater tank for water supply. Guest access Guests have access to all facilities of the Calo Jungle Camp and can use the path down to the beach (follow the signs next to the hammock). The shed, orchard and vegetable garden are off limits unless you're accompanied by the owners. Other things to note Your hosts are Sandra and Richard, my parents in law. They are lovely people and very welcoming. They have been living in the area for more than 35 years and are happy to share their knowledge. All funds will be used for wildlife habitat.
