The oldest, cutest and smallest house in town..
Sæbali, the oldest house in Olafsfjördur, was built in 1895. Olafsfjördur is a calm and remote fishing village in the north of Iceland. The little house was fully and carefully renovated in 2019, preserving the old characteristics and charms of typical icelandic houses. This place will make your stay up north very special and you will feel home the moment you enter the door. The space The house includes a living room with a sofa corner and a working desk, a fully equiped kitchen with a dining table. Climbing up the steep wooden stairs you will find your cosy sleeping loft with a queen size bed. There is a little garden infront of the house and parking space for the car. The house comes with a modern floor heating. Guest access You will find a small harbour, a black sand beach, plentyful of hiking in summer, skiing in winter, a food store, a swimming pool with hotpots, sauna and fitness. Other things to note The ladder to the sleeping loft is tricky (please see the photo) It is a small house and the ceiling hight is low as well (250cm). The house was build 1895 and has been fully renovated with the old style but the interior have been modernized to our time.
