The space This villa is ideal for rejuvenating yourself, with tastefully designed rooms, overlooking beautiful paddy fields, the surrounding verdant hills, and the azure tones of the river, so you get smitten by nature all around in its most raw and real form. Firefly by the River, Coorg is special because of its: - Tranquil settings and serene location by the riverside - Carefully designed home decor with a tint of warmth - 3 Acres of lush green natural surroundings - Rooms spread across 3 spacious villas - Stunning vistas one can see through every nook and corner - Surroundings brimming with coconut, bamboo groves, and coffee, and pepper plantations - Provisions for trekking, cycling, bird watching, angling, fishing, and coracle rides We care for your absolute comfort! To that effect, we provide: - Inverter, Generator, Transformer, Wi-Fi access - Barbecue kit, bar counter, bonfire, indoor games - Medical kit, mosquito repellent - Fire extinguisher, 2 wheelchairs - Wardrobe, hangers, electric kettle, a designated workstation - Geysers, towels, toiletries - Secured parking space for up to 5 cars This is neither a wheelchair-friendly nor a pet-friendly villa. However, there are 2 wheelchairs available at the property. The Space: BEDROOMS - There are 5 bedrooms spread across 3 spacious individual units. - Unit 1 and 2 have two bedrooms each and Unit 3 has one bedroom; all on the ground floor. - All rooms are equipped with an airy verandah, a large-sized single bed, wardrobe, AC and Wi-Fi access. - All rooms also have an electric kettle with tea, coffee, milk, sugar sachets, mineral water and cookies. - 2 of the bedrooms offer extra beds. - Wake up to stunning views of the dewy green landscape that can be seen from every bedroom here. - All rooms are equipped with an ensuite bathroom and a designated workstation. BATHROOMS - There are 5 attached bathrooms and 1 common bathroom. - All bathrooms are equipped with running hot and cold water, a shower area, bath linen, and toiletries. - The common bathroom does not have any shower facilities. COMMON AREAS - There is a spacious semi-open living room adorned with rustic decor on the ground floor. - With its sofa and chair-style seating, this room can comfortably accommodate up to 16 people. - It offers amenities such as Wi-Fi access and is not equipped with an AC or TV. - There is a separate dining area that can comfortably seat up to 15 people at once. - The exterior of this quaint property boasts an expansive area brimming with natural vegetation that covers about 3 acres. - Steps away from the home is a court where guests can enjoy a fun round of volleyball or badminton. - There is ample riverside seating available for up to 10 people. It also includes about 2-3 hammocks. - Situated right by the river, enjoy the unending views, watch the sunrise, engage in some bird-watching activities, or simply unwind by reading your favourite book. KITCHEN - Guests do not have access to the kitchen. - It is equipped with a water purifier, crockery, and cutlery. FOOD - Breakfast is complimentary. - All other meals are available in-house at an additional cost.  - The costs for the aforementioned food and beverage offerings and events are subject to an 18% GST charge. - A barbecue meal can also be provided at an additional cost for a minimum of 8 to 10 people. - Outside food is not allowed on the premises of the property. - Consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed. Guest access The guests have access to the entire villa except for the owner’s residence which is on the same premises. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, guests may have restricted access to any shared amenities. Other things to note ACTIVITIES Within the property, guests can enjoy a multitude of carefully curated amenities that ensure that they have a memorable stay here. Take a peaceful stroll through the natural lush surroundings. A bird watcher’s haven, get to see different species of birds flock through the area. Situated right by the river, guests can enjoy a round of fishing or just spend a fun-filled evening filled with laughter by the riverside. The riverside area also features 2-3 hammocks where guests can simply unwind and relax. Guests can choose to cycle around the property, go on nature trails/ treks, fishing or try a hand at coracle rides. When the chilly air sets in, guests can request a bonfire to be lit up also while savouring a delicious barbecue meal. ADD-ON SERVICES - Barbecue meals can be made available at an additional cost of Rs.1700 per person exclusive of taxes for a minimum of 8 to 10 people. - A bonfire session can be availed at an additional cost of Rs. 1500, per session. - A coracle ride in the river can be arranged at an additional cost of Rs.100 per person. - Prices may vary subject to availability and peak season rates. HOME TRUTHS While we do promise you a welcoming home and a great stay, here are a few things we’d like to mention so as to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises later! - Guests do not have access to the owner’s residence on the same premises. - The villa is located in a secluded area. - All-male groups are not allowed. - This is not a pet-friendly home. - In case of a power outage, the generator can support the entire premises for up to 8 hours. - Additionally, the inverter can support all lights in the villa for up to 8 hours. - All mobile networks work fairly well here. - Consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed. - Outside food is not allowed on the premises of the property. - Please be mindful and keep noise to a minimum after 10 PM. - Guests are advised to remain cautious of a few harmless bugs and insects present due to the location of the property. - There are 4 CCTV cameras that capture the external areas of the property for security purposes. - Guests are advised to not step outside after it becomes dark as the property is close to the forest. - The property is inhabited by a friendly dog and some chickens. - This is a standalone property. - The manager resides on the premises of the property.
