MittiGhar Hostel /// with Walls of Mud & Pine

MittiGhar hostel is a unique farm stay surrounded by a beautiful, clean & quiet nature overlooking the stunning Malana mountains & the Parvati river. We are 8kms before Kasol in a quaint village Mateura, Jari. Our neighborhood is quiet, friendly & just minutes away from waterfalls, forest trails, exotic fruit farms, temples etc. We have an organic kitchen garden producing about 25 varieties of vegetables & fruits. Standing true to its name, this magical 1.5 storey house is made out of mud. The space This is an ideal place to disconnect from the grid and be one with nature. The entire of the house is made of clay(Earth), this is not only eco-friendly but is also good for our health. We believe that our body will absorb the good energy from Earth, this means the earthy home brings you closer to nature and will eliminate the bad energy out. We have an in-house restaurant serving delicious, fresh, vegetarian home cooked food. Listening to the exotic birds & crickets chirp, the distant sound of the gushing Parvati river- this space allows you to enjoy the rare simplicities of life. Our place is full of flowers & trees, you will see a part of nature like rare birds, butterflies, lizards, insects, spiders in our garden. Don't worry, they are harmless. However if you are afraid of these creatures, our place might not suit you. We thoroughly check the room before the guests check-in to ensure there are no insects. Please keep your room door closed during your stay. The Rooms are minimalistic and Earthy. Made out of natural, locally sourced materials, the mud walls keep the room warm in winters & cool in summers. The rooms are planned to be compact and cozy yet functional. All the rooms are connected by common verandah overlooking the stunning Mountains. There are power sockets with tables for each room making it a perfect spot to work, if you are on a workcation. Airtel and Jio network works great. Our eco-friendly home is peaceful and welcoming. It’s not just a property. It is an experience! Guest access We want our home to be your home while you are visiting. Guests will have full access to the property's common areas- the dining area, the common room, indoor & outdoor games etc. They are free to sit in the lawn, relax, walk around the property. However, please note that the guests do not have access into the kitchen as we have a closed kitchen policy. Other things to note Check-in : 01:00pm Check- out : 11:00am Directions to reach the property: 1. If you are travelling by local bus/Volvo, get off at the Jari taxi stand. Option A : Hike for 800m (15 min) to reach the property. Option B : Taxis are available at the drop point @ 150/- 2. If you are travelling by cab/car, please reach the pinned location on maps. You can spot a mud road that leads to the property (800m). Please note that the road is quite steep at two particular locations. We request you to call us when you arrive at the pinned location so we can direct you to the property safely. In case of bad weather, the option of parking your vehicle at the pinned location and hiking/taxi to the property is advisable. This is a tranquil destination where one can unwind and be close with nature. Kindly avoid visiting here if you tend to love very loud music and are looking for a party place. Please note that we have two friendly dogs in our property, if you are allergic to dogs or do not like them, our place might not be a good fit for you. We request the guests to manage their own luggages as we do not provide luggage assistance. Smoking inside the rooms & bathrooms are strictly not allowed. If smoking occurs during your stay, Rs. 1000 Cleaning fee will be billed to your account.
