An accommodation for those who wish to stay on an island but still with proximity and ease to Gothenburg. Free car ferry takes you easily here and into central Gothenburg. Fotö belongs to Öckerö Municipality consisting of ten islands, with proximity to the sea as a matter of course. From Fotö, you can reach the other nine islands, either by bridge or ferry. You also have proximity to grocery store, shopping, restaurants about 3 km from Fotö. The space Welcome to the Västerhavet Hotel Lilla Huset, which is our guest house of about 16 sqm, hence the name "Lilla Huset". It has a room divided into a kitchenette and living room/sleeping area for two people. It also has a small bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. It has most of what is needed to feel comfortable. Hotel Lilla huset has a made double bed with bedding in comfortable cotton, stove, microwave, fridge and kettle among other things. Of course, there are also extra pillows, towels and more. Hand and shower soap as well as shampoo and conditioner are included and are of high quality. We would like to do that "little extra" for you when you are here with us. On the outside of Hotel Lilla Huset there is a nice seating area with table and two chairs. Our guests usually appreciate sitting there in the morning sun and enjoying their breakfast, or also in the afternoon after the day's experiences in the archipelago or other activity. If you come by car, the parking space is just outside the entrance. About Fotö Fotö is a quiet and genuine island with beautiful archipelago houses. In the 17th century, the island's buildings were focused here at the picturesque harbor, nowadays houses are located around the entire island. About 600 residents live here permanently. At Fotö's swimming area, Vivik, there is a trampoline, diving tower and jetty. If you want to find your very own strawberry spot, you can go to the island's northwestern part, Tån. Tån offers beautiful west coast nature with fantastic shifts in the rocks and clear, lovely water with several nice rock pools. On Tån, you will also find the coastal trail (Skärgårdsleden) that runs along the coast of all the islands and is a wonderful hiking experience. Take the opportunity to take a sea excursion and visit the Vinga nature reserve. You will most likely see seals playing in the waves on the way to or from the lighthouse island. It is also cozy to sit on the rocks on Fotö, eat shrimp or other goodies and enjoy the sunset. Here on Fotö, the sea is part of a fantastic spectacle during all seasons, but perhaps it is most dramatic when the autumn storms roar. There is a sauna at the end of the harbor with an associated jetty that you can rent from the Port Association, with magical views of the West Sea and Vinga. Experience the archipelago Fotö belongs to Öckerö Municipality, which is a real archipelago municipality consisting of 10 islands, with proximity to the sea as a matter of course. From Fotö you can reach the other 9 islands, either by bridge or ferry. This opens up many excursion and experience opportunities such as kayaking, fishing for crabs and hiking. You are also close to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, etc. about 3 km from Fotö. Hönö also has grocery stores, liquor stores, fish and seafood shops and various other nice shops. On nearby Öckerö, you will find a pharmacy, liquor store and flower shop. How to get here It's easy to get here, by car you take road 155 towards Öckerö and then you take the car ferry from Lilla Varholmen (Hjuvik) to Hönö. Between Hönö and Fotö there is a bridge, which makes it possible to get here by car, motorcycle or bicycle. A parking space for one vehicle is available at the front of the property. The second parking space belongs to the host of the accommodation. In the parking lot at the port, you can park for free during your stay here. It is also very easy to take the bus out to Fotö from Gothenburg. Bus Röd express runs all the way from Gothenburg to Lilla Varholmen. There you take the ferry over to Hönö and continue with bus no. 2 all the way out to Fotö. From the bus stop, it is about 500 meters to Lilla Huset. Warm welcome! We look forward to seeing you. In the parking lot at the harbor, you can park for free during your stay here. Possibility to charge electric car is available on request. Two bicycles are available to borrow during your stay with us. It is about 3 km to the nearest grocery store, restaurants and shops on Hönö Klåva. It is about 500 meters to the nearest bus stop from Lilla Huset, which runs to Hönö and to the ferry terminal.
