Owls Roost is a luxury 5 star property, for a couple. Outside steps lead up to the barn door of this first floor property. Vaulted beamed ceilings add character to this spacious property. Whilst the ‘antique’ feel has been retained, every modern convenience has been sympathetically installed to make your stay truly comfortable, as well as memorable. Key features include extra large bathroom with freestanding bath and walk-in shower. The bedroom has a four-poster king size bed. CH throughout. The space You will experience a taste of luxury with this first floor holiday property. It is accessed via a set of external stone steps. The property has a historic country house ambiance. Lavish Master bedroom, with king size heavily carved mahogany four poster bed and antique bedroom furniture. All linen and towels are provided for you (not beach towels, please bring your own, thank you) Open plan fully fitted galley style kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. A laundry area with washing machine, off the kitchen leading to bathroom. There is a communal washing line for clothes drying. Sumptuous, classic furnishings includes twin leather Chesterfield sofas and Smart TV. Heavily beamed, vaulted ceilings. There is gas fired central heating for your comfort. The luxury bathroom has a deep freestanding bath for you to relax in after a long day exploring or maybe you'll opt for the large walk-in shower. There are also twin basins and a toilet. You will find complimentary toiletries in your bathroom too. Your “Welcome” Hospitality Pack incudes a locally made cake, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits . Free Wi-Fi This cottage is for 2 people only and not suitable for children, however please be aware there are other cottages within the grounds that children are welcome in. BBQ stored under external stairs (May to October), you will need to supply your own charcoal. Please note our welcome pack may vary due to time of year / seasons. Guest access Your holiday home is fully self contained and set within approximately 5 acres of gardens and grounds. These grounds are open to all our guests for everyone’s enjoyment. There's a sun terrace for you to make the most of those Dorset summer evenings or have a BBQ. (During the Summer months you’ll find it tucked under the steps to you cottage) Other things to note Ringstead Bay is our nearest beach, just over a mile away and set on the Jurassic Coast, there’s a café and parking (there's a charge for the car park). The nearest convenience shop is about 3 miles away and is well stocked or Craig’s Farm Shop is just over 1 and a half miles from us, by prior arrangement we can organise for you to see the cows being milked, if you're interested please talk to me at check in. There are a number of pub/restaurants all within 3-4 miles. Weymouth is just 6 miles away with its sandy beaches, fishing harbour and array of shops, restaurants, bars and many things to do, including the Sealife Centre and Sandworld. Dorchester is also about 6 miles from us with museums, shops and lots of different places to eat. Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, The Tank Museum, Portland Bill and West Bay are all just a short drive away. Monkey World is approximately 15 minutes drive away. We are only a 5 minute drive from the village of Moreton, the last resting place of T.E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia), with its beautiful walled gardens and Dovecote café. There are often children's activities for a small charge, but access is free. We are approximately a 30-40 minute drive to Portland which, has access to a number of outdoor pursuits including potholing and rock climbing, or why not visit the famous Portland Bill Lighthouse, grabbing a Portland crab sandwich or ice cream from The Lobster Pot afterwards.
