‘The Hayloft’ is nestled within an 18th Century property in the historic and peaceful village of Edgmond, in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. This self-contained luxurious apartment is the ideal escape for a short or long stay , to enjoy what rural Shropshire has to offer. Self check-in and Prosecco on arrival will help make your trip even more relaxing. With it's central village location, local shop, two inns, and ample walks from the doorstep, you can park up, switch-off and relax. The space The property has been lovingly restored by its current owners to create an entirely separate apartment with its own access, exposed beamed ceilings and retained original fireplaces. There are sleeping options for up to 5 people, making the apartment suitable for couples as well as families. It includes a stunning library lounge that can seat six and has a 50 inch smart TV . There is a 3 piece suite, plus a double futon sofa bed with a mattress topper and luxury bedding that opens out to a 4ft 6 double bed. There is a fully equipped dining kitchen and elegant shower room with heated towel rail. The extremely spacious 30m² bedroom has a gorgeous king-sized bed and dressing table, with ample clothes storage and separate desk area. If an additional separate bed is required, then there is an optional single fold up bed with headboard which can be prepared for your arrival. A travel cot and changing mat are also available if required. There is a large pedestal fan plus a tall tower cooling fan available. There are exceptional views from all windows of this top floor apartment, overlooking the village and surrounding Shropshire countryside. There are many local countryside walks and cycle routes directly from Edgmond. The village has two pubs with restaurants, The Lamb Inn and The Edgmond Lion, both serving excellent food , a small convenience store with Post Office and a historic 11th Century Church, all within walking distance of The Hayloft. The market town of Newport is only a five minute drive away, or a 20 minute walk via a canal, has boutique shops, pubs, market and a multitude of eating out options. Edgmond is situated within easy reach of many local tourist attractions. It is a great location to explore both Shropshire and Staffordshire. Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Ironbridge with the Victorian Blists Hill museum, and Weston Park are all within an hours drive. RAF Cosford, and National Trust properties such as Attingham Park and Dudmaston are close-by, as well as entertainment in Telford with cinemas, shopping centre and high ropes courses for the more adventurous. Staffordshire can offer delights including Alton Towers or the Shugborough Estate and Kinver Edge with its sandstone rock houses. The Hayloft is also a useful stay for anyone visiting Harper Adams University or Lilleshall National Sports Centre. Guest access The Hayloft has its own separate entrance to access the apartment which is for your sole use . There is a large gated driveway with free allocated parking on the drive and a covered porch area containing a storage facility for boots. Internally, at the top of the flight of stairs there is a landing with flat access into the kitchen. There are two further steps from the landing which access the lounge library and two more steps from here to access the bedroom Other things to note We will aim to meet you upon arrival but will also provide access details for self-check in with lockbox. Guests will need to be able to manage stairs and we recommend bringing soft holdalls rather than larger suitcases as the stairs are narrow. Where possible a slightly earlier check in or a later check out can be arranged. Please confirm beforehand if the single bed or sofa bed are required. There is also a travel cot and changing mat available if needed.
