Outside it has a shared courtyard garden with seating and barbecue facilities and inside the fully equipped kitchen, open plan dining and sitting room with wood-burning stove offers spacious living accommodation for families. Upstairs there is a double, twin bedroom and family bathroom all with exposed roof trusses. The space Beech Cottage is a beautifully converted Grade II listed stone cottage and a light and airy open plan kitchen/dining/living room with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. It has a flat screen TV with freeview and DVD player, free wifi and a wood burning stove. With two bedrooms and a family bathroom (electric shower over bath) it is the perfect place for couples or families looking for a peaceful retreat. Guest access Beech Cottage is one of 9 cottages located at Newhouse Farm Cottages which is a beautiful complex of converted barns set in 30 acres of farmland for guests to explore. We have an indoor games room, heated indoor swimming pool, traditional sauna, free wifi throughout, outdoor children's play areas and a small fishing lake which is all available for guests to use. The pool and games room both operate on a booking system with each cottage having a minimum of 2 x45 minute private sessions per day (except departure day). Footpaths wind steeply down to the river and lake, offering quiet corners and picnic spots. As the land is not actively farmed and is free from pesticides and fertilisers we have an abundance of wildlife - including the resident badgers, barn owls, hares and red deer.
