Timber cottage & sauna in lovely mountain village

Cosy timber cottage with a private sauna in lovely mountain village. Kvikkjokk is a good place for excursions: -to the nearby river, lake & delta channels (canoe rental or boat tour). -to nearby mountain peaks with stunning views towards Sarek national park & the delta. Or along the Kungsleden or Padjelanta trails. -the village (waterfall, church or old forest) Just sitting by the fire place in the cottage or taking a sauna, is also a lovely relaxing experience! In short: Expansive stays! The space Welcome to an intimate retreat with majestic surroundings - to an expansive stay! Or a coolcation! The cottage is easy to reach, just by the road in the tiny village, which is situated at the roads end! Generally, it is very quiet round the house as there is hardly any traffic. The cottage has: -Kitchen with a stove, microwave oven, fridge with a mini freezer and a fireplace. -Electric floor heating and hot tap water. -One bedroom for 3 persons (one bed is 120 cm) -A toilet (water closet) and a small entrance hall. -A cosy wood fired sauna behind the house. Toilet paper, fire wood (for normal indoor use) and hand soap and dish wash liquid is included. The cosy wood fired sauna is where you have your bath/shower - a soothing and relaxing experience! You carry buckets with cold water to the sauna (10m), where water can be heated in a container over the fire. Tap some hot water into a bowl, mix with some cold water if needed, pour over yourself. Fire wood for the sauna and the fireplace is included. Max. 4 guests can stay in the cottage. The 4th person may share the lower bunk bed (120 cm) or stay on an extra camping bed in the kitchen. Guest access During your stay you will have full access to the entire house, the sauna and the large natural garden (no one else will use the premises). The vast surrounding nature is of course also available for you! Thus we call it "Expansive stays". Other things to note Bath towels and bed linen can be included at an extra cost. Give us a notice before booking, since we cannot always provide it with short notice. The guest cleans the house before departure, cleaning utensils are provided. The closest grocery shop is in Jokkmokk (120 km away). During high season, some items can be bought in the mountain station (Kvikkjokk fjällstation, at walking distance) or in Årrenjarka (20 km away), which both have restaurants (limited opening hours). There is no wifi in the cottage, but the mobile services have good coverage (Telia, Halebop), so working from a distance is possible. There is a public charger for electric cars (120 kW) on the other side of the street from the cottage. Charging in the cottage is not allowed.
