The Wombat - central, cute & cosy beach shack

Welcome to "The Wombat"! This special place is right in the heart of Venus Bay, a short walk from the main patrolled surf beach & located just around the corner from the local cafe, bar, children's playground, corner store, pizza shop, pharmacy, fish & chips, and ice cream store! Our cosy beach shack offers a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of parking space, an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach, and comfy sofas to sit and watch the world go by... The space Our cheerful and humble home, playfully called "The Wombat" is the right balance of cute, comfy, and practical. Watch the sunrise through the eucalyptus from the front deck, snuggle up on the couch and read a book by the fire, or rinse off out the back watching the sunset when you come home after a day at the beach. ‘The Wombat’ is a modest, newly renovated 2 story beach shack. Downstairs are 2 small bedrooms (1x Queen, 1x Bunk-Bed) and a bathroom with a combined shower/bath, toilet, and laundry facilities. Upstairs is an open-plan kitchen and living area with treetop views and two comfy sofas for relaxing and soaking up the sunshine. Basic supplies, tea & coffee will be supplied for your stay and our kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, oven, stove, and microwave for your own catering convenience. Caravans are welcome as there is a large grassed front yard space and a 15 amp power supply. Please advise if extra guests are staying. If you think outside the box and love unique travel experiences, ‘The Wombat’ beach shack is for you. Other things to note The Wombat is not yet connected to wifi, so in the meantime, you can easily 'hot spot' the internet from your phone to the brand new 60 inch smart TV. Or simply immerse yourself in the simplicity of beach life for a few days... Note that the property is not fully fenced. Pets are welcome but please be mindful of our friendly neighbours if you can. Please keep them out of the bedrooms and off the furniture so our future guests can also enjoy our little home-from-home. Firewood is not provided but can be purchased from the general store which is 100m away or at the local hardware or petrol stations. There is a playground 100m away that has BBQ facilities. Linen is included :-) Please read all the house rules, as well as the amenities, before booking with us. We want to make sure you know what to expect when you arrive.
