Description

Beautiful, bright, and peaceful room with a large bed, private bathroom, and a comfortable workspace by the window, with heating and air conditioning. It’s part of my duplex, a cozy and welcoming home, always clean and tidy, where you'll enjoy a pleasant kitchen and living room, sharing them just with me. You’ll be in a privileged location in central Barcelona, across from Parc de la Ciutadella, near the beach, the cathedral, and the Sagrada Familia, with excellent access to public transport The space Hello! My name is Elena, and I love sharing my home with people from all over the world. I’m calm, kind, flexible, and very attentive to keeping everything tidy and clean. I speak Catalan, Spanish, English, and French, so we’ll be able to communicate easily and pleasantly. If you’re thinking about spending some time in Barcelona, congratulations! It’s a beautiful city and very special to me, since I was born here and know it well. If you like, I’d be delighted to share some of my favorite places to enjoy during your free time. I live right in the heart of the city, across from the lovely Parc de la Ciutadella, in a modern, bright, and very peaceful duplex. I offer a guest room with its own private bathroom, designed for you to feel relaxed, enjoy your privacy, and unwind fully during your stay. It’s a wonderful space for working or studying from home, thanks to its calm and natural light. At the same time, its privileged location makes it easy for you to enjoy your free time: you can easily stroll through the beautiful Parc de la Ciutadella, visit the city’s most peaceful beaches, explore the famous historic center, enjoy shopping and leisure areas, or walk comfortably to iconic places such as the cathedral, the Sagrada Familia, and the main art museums. It’s also perfect if you’re looking for a cozy home to return to every day after work or classes, as this area is very well connected to the rest of the city and surrounding areas by metro, bus, train, and tram. The upper floor of the house is open and full of light, with a warm and inviting kitchen and living room that you’ll share only with me. I love making this space friendly for my guests so you can feel completely at ease. The kitchen is fully equipped and available at any time. It also has a pleasant dining area where you can enjoy your meals, relax, or even spend some quiet time with a cup of coffee. The living room has a large sofa and some equipment for exercising at home if you wish, such as yoga and Pilates materials, dumbbells, a stationary bike, a mirror, and a TV screen. Everything is there to make your stay convenient and enjoyable. You’ll also have access to a cleaning area with a vacuum, iron, and washer-dryer. On the ground floor, there are two double bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, ensuring maximum ease and privacy for both. The guest room—the one in the listing—has a double bed, a large wardrobe with organizers, a desk with plenty of natural light, and a private bathroom with a shower. I occupy the second bedroom, located on the other side of the staircase, which also has a private bathroom. I work from home, either in my room or in the gallery next to the living room on the upper floor. The house has heating, air conditioning, WiFi, and a robotic vacuum, which you’re very welcome to use in your room if you like. If you have any questions about the room, apartment, neighborhood, or the city, please don’t hesitate to write to me. I’ll be delighted to help you in any way I can and make your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. I wish you a wonderful stay in Barcelona… and hope we’ll meet soon! Guest access At the entrance of the house, you’ll find a space for coats and shoes, so you can relax and feel at home from the very first moment. For your convenience, there are umbrellas, foldable shopping bags, house slippers, and lightweight towels for the gym, beach, or picnics. The kitchen is modern, open, and bright. It features a cozy dining area where you can enjoy your meals in peace, a large pantry with reserved space for your groceries, and filtered water through reverse osmosis. It’s fully equipped so you can cook with ease, including: a ceramic hob with extractor, oven, blender, food processor, coffee maker, kettle, teapot, electric juicer, fridge, freezer, pans, pots, dishes, airtight containers, thermos, and picnic utensils. It has no microwave or dishwasher. The shared living area has a spacious sofa and a variety of exercise equipment in case you wish to keep up with your routine at home, including mats and props for yoga, Pilates, strength training, and a stationary bike. There’s also a mirror and a TV screen, where you can project your workout videos if you wish. The house also has robotic vacuums that keep the floors clean daily, as well as a washer-dryer, iron, delicate laundry bags, drying racks for delicate clothing, a shopping trolley, and plenty of cleaning products at your disposal. A soft speaker system often plays gentle piano music in the common areas at a low volume, and a subtle, pleasant scent of incense contributes to a calm and inviting atmosphere. The guest room is modern, bright, and peaceful, designed for you to rest and work comfortably. It includes: • A very cozy double bed with bedside tables, reading lamps, several pillows, and holders for tablets or laptops. • A large double wardrobe with drawers, hangers, organizing boxes, and space on top for luggage. • A spacious desk with drawers, a reading lamp, ambient multi-color light, and a monitor stand, ideal for working or studying. • A Google Nest speaker, so you can enjoy soft background music if you like. • An essential oil diffuser with a selection of natural scents. • A window with a blind for privacy and a blackout shade for sleeping in complete darkness. • Internet, heating, and air conditioning. The private bathroom, integrated into the room, offers: • A shower with a glass screen, a teak platform, a dispenser with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, and extra shelves for your own toiletries. • A sink with outlets and ample storage drawers. • Bath and hand towels, bath mats, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, hair straightener, and a makeup mirror with built-in light and 20x magnification. • A toilet with toilet paper, biodegradable wet wipes, a portable bidet, and deodorizing spray. • Natural light and ventilation. Every detail has been carefully thought out to ensure you feel truly at ease and enjoy your stay to the fullest. A small note: the air conditioning is controlled with an individual remote, as usual. When it’s on and the air humidity is high, it emits a soft buzz from time to time, typical of indoor air conditioning units. It’s very subtle (19 dB) and has never bothered any guest. I simply mention it in case you might have specific needs in this regard, as I truly wish you to feel fully comfortable throughout your stay. During your stay Upon your arrival, I’ll be delighted to welcome you in person, show you your new home, and, if you like, help you organize your first days in the city so that everything feels easy and enjoyable from the very start. I’m usually very available, both before your arrival and throughout your stay in Barcelona. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have or share tips and recommendations, whether in person or via text or voice messages. My aim is for you to feel supported and at ease at all times. Other things to note The apartment is a duplex, which means that to reach the guest room, you need to go down a staircase. This adds a pleasant sense of independence and movement to your stay. However, if you have any mobility concerns, I’d love to discuss them before confirming your booking to make sure the space works well for you and your needs. I also often use incense in my room and in the shared areas, as it creates a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. If you are sensitive to scents or have any allergies, please let me know in advance, and I will certainly take it into consideration. Finally, as stated in the house rules, the building observes quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. During this time, you are free to come and go, cook, or chat as usual, just keeping the volume at a moderate level to respect the neighbors’ peace. My aim is that your stay feels easy, relaxed, and enjoyable from the very moment you arrive.
