Description
Church View Cottage is tucked away in a quiet corner of Hatherliegh's picturesque market square. Peace and quiet and clear skies are what you will find. The cottage is very well appointed and comfortable, and decorated to a very high standard. Good walks or cycling from the door with great pubs close by. It is also an ideal location for exploring further a field and for Devon in general due to Hatherleigh's central location. The space From the square you enter a character hallway that leads into the lounge, with its large inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. There is comfortable seating with armchairs and a sofa, and has a cosy atmosphere. This leads through to the dining room and kitchen. The large kitchen is fully equiped for full catering and the dining room offers a good sized table and plenty of seating. Also downstairs is a utility room with toilet, sink, and washer / dryer and freezer. Beyond the kitchen and dining room you will find the courtyard, a haven of peace and tranquility with seating and dining areas. Up stairs you will find the master bedroom, with a kingsize bed and plenty of wardrobe space, with great views out over Hatherleigh towards Dartmoor. The second bedroom offers a comfortable double bed with single bunk bed above. There is also sufficient storage in here. Across from this is a beautifully finished bathroom with walk in shower. Guest access Great walks can be had from the door, with two great pubs - both serving food - just a stones throw away. A postoffice, cafe and Co-Op shop are also a short walk down the high street. There is parking for one car in the courtyard accessed via the side entrance of the property through a sliding door. There is a height restriction of 1.95m. Alternatively there is parking available around the square or adjoining roads or at the top of the churchyard. Roads are narrow in places but this is rural Devon.. Other things to note Dogs are very welcome at Church View. However we do ask that they are not left alone in the property as we have had damage and noise disturbance in the past. Thank you for your understanding on this matter. Marilyn and Neil
