Pablito Cortijo is a private cottage in the heart of Sierra Nevada National Park in 36 acres of land. It has its own private terrace with bbq plus a large swimming pool (11 x 5 m) and is close to Capiliera, Bubion and Pampaneira. Its unique location makes it a perfect retreat for those who like to hike, cycle or ride and explore Sierra Nevada and the Alhambra in Granada. The space Cortijos Rey Fini is an exclusive picturesque and unique retreat in the heart of Sierra Nevada National Park. At the altitude of 1500 meters above the Mediterranean sea, it is never too hot even in July and August. It provides a nice retreat for families, lovers, and special occasions! Its large garden provides ample area for children to play, swim, hike and wander about without any danger. Pablito Cortijo is a perfect romantic getaway for a couple. The living space is cosy with a bathroom with shower, washing machine, a double bedroom leading on to a living space combined with kitchen. It also has another small room which could accommodate a small child. This in turn leads on to your own private balcony with table and chairs (and bbq) and a very beautiful view just for the two of you! Small but perfect! The place is lovely in the summer months and the best month for hikers/ramblers would be April/May/September and October. There is a large swimming pool filled from a natural spring water stream. Please note that the pool is shared between this cottage and 2 other detached cottages but you will hardly ever find other people by the pool as often guests spend a day at the beach or visiting Granada or hiking locally. The village of Trevelez, famous for it's cured ham, is only 4km away and the beautiful white villages of Bubion, Capilera, and Pampaneira are only 10 min away by car. Due to the rural location of the cottages we highly advise people take their own form of transport. There is a large grassed area in the extensive gardens with lots of space for adults and children. Also a peaceful shaded area with various 500 year old chestnut trees, ideal for meditation, yoga and relaxation. Please note we have 2 other cortijos for rent, one for 4 people and one for 6 people, both with their own listings on air bnb. Guest access The access to the cortijo (rural cottage) is easy and guests may wander anywhere in the extensive garden which borders the National Park which makes hiking accessible through the park without the need of a vehicle. The cortijo is several hundred metres from the road and accessed through a long driveway with 2 gates. Though the pool is shared with two other cottages, it is never a problem for any of our guests. There are beautiful gardens of fruit trees, herbs and vegetables. The guests may walk around anywhere around the ground. There are many hikes above the "Cortijos" which leads to the "Camino Forrestal" ideal for bike riding,hiking and horse riding. Other things to note The breath taking views, the hikes and the beautiful garden will be something that the guests will remember for ever. If you eat meat and like Jamon Serrano then Cortijos Rey Fini are only 3 kms away from the capital of Jamon "Trevelez". Trevelez claims to be the highest village in Spain. Our ideal location makes it easy for guests who want to visit Granada or go to the beach for the day. There are also villages of great interest nearby including Capiliera, Bubion and Pampaneira. Both in Trevelez and Capiliera there is horse riding available. All villages offer lots of bars and restaurants where you can try local gastronomy as well as international food. Please note that we accept guests who want to bring their dog on the following conditions: The dogs do not enter any of the houses as we sometimes have guests who are allergic to animal hair. We have a large kennel where they can sleep overnight if needed. During the day they can be free in the garden but please note that we have 2 dogs which run free in the grounds.
