Enjoy the calming sounds of nature while staying in this serene place nestled at the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range. Set up your gateway to the many natural attractions around the area, or immerse yourself in our food forest. Harvest crops, plant trees, or fish in our small ponds. The space We are happy to share our place with you. The property will be exclusive to you. It Includes a complete and well-equipped outdoor kitchen beside a firepit and dining area. The A-frame cabin comfortably fits 4 persons. Max 5 persons A-Frame interior 12x10ft Deck 15 x 10ft It has 2 (double size) sofa beds L190xH20xW120cm And 2 single roll-up beds L195 x W 80cm *If you’re booking for 6-15 persons, we can set up and provide tents for free so you won’t be cramped. Tent 1 is a 6-Person Dome Tent with Screen Room, 2 Rooms. Separate screen room offers bug-free lounging, extra ventilation, protected storage and can be slept in on warmer nights. Measures 10 x 9 feet with 5-foot 8-inch center height; screen room is 10 x 5 feet placed on a bamboo tent pad. Tents 2 and 3 are four-five person tents with simple and quick assembly. They have a ventilated roof and windows and storage pockets to help keep your gear organized. The tent measures 7 x 7 feet and has a peak height of 4 feet. It is suitable for a family or group of friends to sleep in. Guest access The property is located on the foothills of the southern Sierra Madre Mountain Range in Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal with an altitude of 600 meters above sea level. It is 1.6km away from Marilaque Highway (Km 56). There are rough road portions which are accessible only by 4x4 when it rains, During dry season, it is accessible by sedan cars Other things to note RESPECT FOR CARETAKERS: Jerry & Lyn, our caretakers, are happy to assist you during your stay. They will meet you at the parking lot, help you unload, set up the house (stove, grill, mats, games, etc.), set up the bonfire pit, and, otherwise, leave you be. But please note that they are not there to wash your dishes, set up the table for you, or make your beds while you’re there. If you are unsure about what you can ask them to do, please ask us. Allow them to rest from 9 PM to 7AM and, unless absolutely necessary, avoid calling on them after or before those times. TIPS to express your appreciation of their services are most welcome; you may give this directly to them. HOUSE RULES - No shoes inside the cabin. Please use clean slippers in these areas. - No eating inside the cabin - Usage of gasoline as a fire starter is STRICTLY PROHIBITED - Never leave children unsupervised, - Avoid making too much noise. Karaoke is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Quiet time is 10pm - 7am - CONSERVE ENERGY. The property is run by solar power. We will provide one fully charged battery for your stay. At night you can charge your gadgets and leave 2 lights ON and it will last you the whole night There are (8) USB ports and (8) 220v outlets in the cabin. When the sun is up the batteries will be charged again. - If you have pets, feel free to use our complementary dog house, however, you may also opt to bring your own pet bed in the case you prefer your pet staying indoors. Please be responsible of your pet’s shedding and excrements. - Please close and lock all windows and doors when you leave. - Take care of the house stuff: don’t use pots and pans on the grill, be careful handling the plates, glasses, etc, make sure you don’t lose any game pieces—use whatever’s there as you would your friends’ or parents’ stuff when you stay with them. - Please don’t take anything from the place so future guests can continue to enjoy them and we can keep our rates as low as possible. If ever you do decide to leave some booze or condiments for other guests to enjoy, you can leave them at the kitchen shelves:) Just please allow Jerry or Lyn to conduct a final check before you leave. - Don’t ask them to do things they're not expected to do. See “Respect for Caretaker” above. - Respect nature: don’t cut down any trees, shrubs or plants. Leave other living things in peace. - No littering: throw your cigarette butts or any other trash in the trash bins. - Policy on outside food & drinks: Guests may bring outside food & drinks, provided that they bring home all empty non-biodegradable containers such as plastics, glass & tin. - Segregate: We will provide one bin for biodegradable waste and another for everything else. WHICH YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE HOME WITH YOU WHEN YOU CHECK OUT. (ie. glass bottles, tins, plastic). - Secure your valuables: we are not liable for any loss of personal belongings. - You are highly encouraged to plant a tree during your stay. Just ask Jerry for assistance. We have various Philippine native hardwood and fruit bearing saplings. - Unless we’ve made a prior arrangement, be sure to check out at 12noon. We need extra time to clean the premises for incoming guests. YOU NEED TO LET US KNOW AHEAD OF TIME. Please tell us the following by text or email at least three days before arrival: - estimated arrival time, - whether you will be bringing pets (this goes with the proper responsibilities of a pet owner) - anything else you think we should know CANCELLATION We allow cancellations with full refund of deposit at least one week prior to scheduled arrival. For cancellations within one week prior to arrival, however, we will only be able to refund 50% of deposit. No refund will be given for no-shows, except for reasons of force majeure. We hope you will take note of any comments or suggestions which you think we should hear so as to maintain or improve the satisfaction and well-being of our guests.
