Kick back & relax or Explore its up to you! The Nookery is a luxury Mendip hideaway designed for couples looking for a romantic retreat (We cater for families+dogs too!) If you crave a relaxing country break, immerse yourself in nature in this area of natural outstanding beauty with a wide selection of local dog friendly pubs. For families visit the Mendip ski centre, strawberry line cycle route, mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, horse riding. Private HOT TUB available all year round. The space This secret hideaway is nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The open plan Vaulted ceiling bedroom gives you so much space to relax and unwind. There is one bedroom with a super king bed in it but it also has a king size pull out day bed (IN THE SAME ROOM) which is suitable for two more guests, we also can arrange a travel cot if needed. After an active day of walking/exploring, a hot shower and glass of wine you can fold yourself into the soft cotton sheets of your king sized bed and soft grey cotton blankets, or you could hunker down in the open plan sitting room, with it's comfy wrap around sofa, soft velvet cushions and throws. Rest and read one of our books from the library, watch a movie (we have Netflix) or play board games - it even has its own den with toys should you have children. Downstairs is a brand new light filled fitted kitchen and has plenty of space to cook and enjoy the local produce or prepare an indulgent breakfast in bed creation. There is a table in the sitting room area to eat upstairs with fold out sides and chairs stacked under the table, this table could always be used as a desk to work from or there is another desk in the bedroom area with plug sockets that can be used as a work area or dressing table. The slate shower room has a large shower head to wash away the stress of the day and heated fluffy towels ready to embrace your tired body. Should you want your meals alfresco there is a patio with a seated area to enjoy the early morning sun and your own private garden. The patio and garden area is exclusive for the Nookery guests and has secluded spots should you wish for privacy, some parts of the patio area over looks the family garden. If you are coming with dogs the property is surrounded by fences so your four legged friend should be secure. We have a new hot tub which will be available to use all year round and can seat up to 4 comfortably. The “hotsprings” hot tub over looks the main house garden and although we use the garden we try to keep out of guests way so you can enjoy the garden views. We do have a private pool area that is connected to the annex garden and we try to keep noise levels low if ever in use however, we are a family that live here on the same grounds so our children maybe playing in our side of the garden, or we may have friends or family over who dine in our garden with us in the summer months. The Nookery is hidden from view and private. We ask our guests to be respectful of the family environment whilst in the garden/ hot tub. Hot tub hours are 8am - 10.30pm. No parties allowed. Please also mention if there are two cars coming. We look forward to hosting you and creating a special memory ❤️ Guest access Drive straight into the large carpark and unload straight into the private entrance. There are buses at the top of the village to take you into the city's near by Weston super mare and Bristol should you not want to go by car. Bristol airport 5.8 miles, Bristol 12miles , Mendip spring golf 1mile, Wookey hole 10miles, Weston super mare 7miles, sand bay beach 6.6 miles, Bath 20miles. Other things to note For a special occasion I can organise balloons, flowers, food, champagne or hampers to be in place for the arrival. This will be at an additional charge. Please feel free to discuss with me so I can make your stay extra special. We do accept well behaved dogs there is a charge for this £30 per stay. so please add your four legged friends into the drop down box when booking. We have a 4 year old brown intact lab so please do not bring dogs that are on heat.
