Brightside On the Murray

Come and enjoy our eclectic yet tranquil family home literally on the banks of the Murray River. A peaceful base to unwind or get active. Great for families with small or big kids, suitable for 2 families, small groups, ladies craft groups or romantic getaways. Ample space to park your boat or caravan. The space A home away from home with all the modern conveniences like ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning in all rooms, heat lamps in both bathrooms, a full kitchen, BBQ, laundry with large sink, washer and dryer (in garage), TV, Free wifi, small pool, books, puzzles and toys for the little ones and a selection of card/board games, table tennis and badminton rackets for the not too little ones. Main Bedroom has a an ensuite, while the other 2 rooms have a 'Jack n Jill' ensuite. If you manage to get out of the house, you can fly a kite, play a game of cricket or footy, star gaze at night in the large field just 1 step from the backyard gate. Take a few more steps and you are in the Murray River where you can go swimming, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, stand-up paddle-boarding (both provided for our guests use, with a few sizes of life vests), ….or just relax with a picnic on the river bank and watch the boats go by… if you’re lucky, you might catch dolphins frolicking in the water. A range of bicycles for both kids and adults are available to explore the quiet streets and pathways. Just 5 mins walk along the river, you’ll have access to a public beach for the little ones and a public dock where you can park your boat overnight. There are several boat ramps nearby for you to launch your boat. Eat out at the local Jetty’s Bar and Grill (5 mins walk), Pelicans Cafe (a lovely 30mins walk along the river or kayak there!), Sandy Cove Tavern or visit the Iconic Ravenswood Hotel. All these venues are accessible by boat or car. Alternatively, cook in house with our well-appointed kitchen. Guest access There is space to park up to 4 cars on the property. Other things to note Sleeps 6 very comfortably with x 1 King Bed, x 1 Queen, x 2 King Singles Babies and young children are very welcome, safety gates for the stairway, a porta cot and high chair can be provided if requested. However, there are unsecured shelves and small toys in the property. Well behaved dogs are welcome but please let us know the breed and whether it is an inside or outside dog.
