A unique beach bach in a special part of Northland

You will relax and enjoy this destination - no internet, no TV, just time for you to relax, fish, swim, kayak, hike, and explore the wonderful Whangaruru Harbour. Access is by beach only 4WD recommended but not essential. You will need to check the tides before driving along the 2 beaches to arrive at this little gem. We are not on the beach front, 100m to beach, with great open space for children to play on the property. Please note that you are booking for the downstairs space only. The space You will need to bring your own sheets and towels please - 2 x Queen beds, 1 x Queen bottom bunk and 1 x single top bunk - 7 people. We can supply sheets for $10 per person if required. All other amenities supplied - tea-towels, full kitchen, hot plate, gas cooker, BBQ, Gas pizza oven, microwave, dishwasher, etc. Although we are on tank water, we have a bore to top up the tank so pumps come on when showering or washing. Please always make sure taps are turned off properly so as not to waste water. Guest access Rental is for the bottom level only although you may access the upstairs deck for relaxation and views - the downstairs space includes 2 large bedrooms, shower/laundry room, bathroom, separate toilet and kitchen / dining area. There is parking and a lot of space at the back of the property. It is 1.5 kms to the local shop in Oakura - kids enjoy a bike ride there or it is a nice walk (with a good hill) Kids enjoy biking along the beach if you were bringing up bikes. Other things to note You will need to be aware that access is by beach only and you will need to take note of the tide times. 4WD have no problem! Remember to check the tides - we advise to allow 2 hrs before or after high tide. Please also be aware that this is a family holiday destination and there are often other families around so please be respectful of our neighbours.
