Welcome to Camp Hideaway in Chimney Rock! Rustic charm and your own creek and waterfall await you and your guests. This two-story house is located up a long driveway and surrounded by trees. Have your coffee on the large deck overlooking the creek and waterfall, where you will likely see wild turkey, deer, a fox and maybe a bear. This is a beautiful, peaceful place for the whole family. Sleeps 8. The space The lodge is rustic, but provides for all your basic needs. Built on boulders, the house is truly unique. The house is surrounded on all sides with beautiful forest, mostly untouched and part of the State Park. The primary bedroom features a queen-sized bed. This bedroom has its own half bath, and entry directly onto the wraparound porch. The bedroom is separated from the main floor by a short staircase. There is no door on the room, but blackout curtains offer privacy. Upstairs bunk house (up a narrow circular staircase) features 4 twin beds. The room has its own half-bath and 32 inch smart TV and air conditioner. Two twin size antique captain’s beds fold out in the living room for additional guests. One full bathroom with shower is on the main floor. Two half-baths are found in the primary bedroom and in the upstairs bunk room. The open-concept living room and galley kitchen have plenty of seating for all. Basic kitchen has essentials including appliances, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. The adjacent dining room has a small table next to the built-in boulder and huge windows to enjoy the scenery while dining. The wraparound porch with weber grill and blackstone griddle makes cooking and dining outside a treat. 43 inch smart TV in main living room, and 32 inch smart TV upstairs. Air conditioning throughout house with individualized controls for each main room. WiFi throughout. Limited cell reception in this area and neighborhood. Make sure you enable WiFi calling, or take the opportunity to go off the grid! Sit on the patio and enjoy the sounds of the bold creek right beside the house. Splash around in it if you wish! It's a private space. Outside has covered parking and a campfire pit. Guest access You and your guests have full and private access to the entire home, including the creek. Access to the creek is down stone steps from the side deck. The only areas off limits are: the blue shed and wooded areas behind the house and beyond the creek. Other things to note The route to the house is over a one-lane bridge with an 11 foot height restriction. The bridge crosses the Broad River, a gorgeous rocky river - enjoy the view! The driveway is a sharp turn uphill. Please note: We are dog friendly! Bring your pup, but make sure they have flea and tick control! We expect all 4-legged guests to be well behaved and potty trained. Dogs cannot be left unattended in the house at any time during your stay. There is a $50 pet fee for one dog and $75 for 2 dogs.
