The apartment is located on a historic listed building near Edinburgh Castle. It is particularly suited to couples enjoying a city break or romantic getaway. Smart TV only - no live TV check in from 3pm to 10pm (max) check out 10am The space The apartment is located on a historic listed building neighbour of Edinburgh Castle, which is reached by ‘Granny’s Green Steps’ from the Grassmarket. This spacious apartment has recently been completely refurbished and now features the latest in contemporary design whilst retaining its original character. It is particularly suited to couples enjoying a city break or romantic getaway. Our home has a beautiful wood panelled bedroom, with a large double size bed, luxurious bedding, floor to ceiling windows and plentiful wardrobe storage. The bathroom (with bath and shower) is fresh and contemporary, with fluffy towels and high quality toiletries provided. The cozy lounge, which is light filled with its floor to ceiling window, has original exposed stone and wood panelled walls. It is awash with curiosities and objects so you are never far away from Edinburgh’s fascinating history, including a stunning mural of Edinburgh Castle in the days when it was frequented by Scotland’s monarchs and the vaults were used to hold prisoners of war. The light-filled dining kitchen has plentiful seating and has everything you will need to prepare a romantic meal for two. You will find the kitchen is fully equipped with quality crockery, a coffee making machine and dishwasher. Throughout this luxurious residence, there are charming reminders of times gone by, from pictures of ghostly figures from this reputedly haunted part of the city to a nod to Scotland’s bard, Robert Burns, who drank in the Grassmarket bars. You will also find all mod cons, including free wifi, to ensure you have everything you need for a perfect and luxurious stay. Please note his is our home. Paid on street Parking is available. Other things to note No pets, sadly. No children, sadly. Bed size: UK double ABSOLUTELY no smoking/smokers, not even occasional smokers. I regret but we are very allergic, and all fabrics and upholstery will need to be professionally cleaned or changed should smoking is detected in the apartment. Apologies but in no circumstance we will take smoking or even occasional smokers as guests in the apartment. A PENALTY OF GBP250 WILL BE APPLIED TO ANY STAY THAT BREECH THIS CONDITION Prior to check in, please note we will require guests to provide us with the following: 1. Full name and DOB of any guests staying at the property (Max occupancy 2 guests, 3 guests upon pre approval) 2. A working mobile phone in the UK able to receive calls and messages through messaging applications (please message us PRIOR to booking our home if you have any issues with this or require further info on how our check in operates). 3. Confirmation guests have read and accepted our house rules 4. Our check in runs from 3pm to 10pm.
