Welcome to The Lodge @ Hambrook, A charming little 18th century 2 bedroom cottage with hot tub. Perfect for a cosy getaway, we are conveniently located just off the m32 , close to all local amenities and only 10 minutes drive to Bristol city centre! Pet friendly, lovely walks, a beautiful local pub - The White Horse. Please let us know if you are celebrating ! note: HOT TUB £50 additional fee per stay is payable direct to cover maintenance & electric hot tub running costs. The space Everything you need for a country retreat , yet close to Bristol city centre and Bath! Perfect mini holiday getaway for the family, friends, or for business stays midweek being so close to the MOD ,Rolls Royce and parkway station. Through the property gates you enter the large driveway with 2 secure parking spaces, you will see our other cabins on the separate land to the right hand side and the driveway is shared access so please be mindful to park on the left hand side. The main entrance is via the back of the cottage via the garden and into the stable door that leads you into a fully equipped kitchen including all your basics plus foil, kitchen towel, oils,salt and pepper and a welcome pack of essentials so you can arrive and have a cuppa and rehydrate. this kitchen has recently been refurbished with new work tops and contemporary black furnishings, The ceilings in the cottage are low, mind your head for the tall people ! The lounge comprises grey fabric sofas and a 4 person modern glass dining table with velvet chairs, fully opening patio doors on a sunny day provides a very villa like feel in the summer! an original cast iron fireplace sets a perfect cosy evening by the log fire. 42inch smart TV with YouTube,Netflix and free wifi throughout. Through the hallway you enter the study/office and mainly a games room for the kids to enjoy hanging out, a fully purposeful work desk perfect for business stays to work in privacy. There is an additional smart TV in this room perfect for the Xbox lovers and kids to watch YouTube and there are some family games in the cupboards. We call it ‘the snug’ . A large modern contemporary bathroom sits downstairs fully tiled throughout with walk in wet room style overhead shower beneath the skylight. We hope to have covered your needs with luxury cole&cole hand wash, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and some handy hygiene products and spare toothbrushes and items that you may forget in the vanity drawer! Please ration this and feel free to leave any leftovers for the next guests- Patio doors lead out to the courtyard with artificial grass and seating with the hot tub. Up the winding staircase you will find 2 double bedrooms. One with field views, memory foam double bed with a mixture of hard and soft pillows plenty of built in cupboard storage and desk space/dressing area. There are spare pillows in the cupboards alongside the travel cot. Bedroom 2 features 2 single beds and 2 bedside cabinets. The traffic can be heard from the room as it faces the main road for the light sleepers but it’s never been a problem so far We have 3 garden areas- The courtyard to the side of the property, completely private enclosed, sitting the hot tub right by the bathroom patio doors. The villa-esque garden- the bottom modern garden with artificial grass, outdoor sofas, dining table, fire heater and up the ancient steps to our 3rd large turfed garden perfect for picnics and a bother dining set for al Fresco dinners whilst watching the children play football or playing in the treehouse . Guest access Full access of cottage and it’s enclosed gardens Other things to note Please note - the hot tub fee is payable by either bank transfer prior to arrival or cash on arrival. We charge this fee separately in order to maintain a competitive and fair nightly rate for non hot tub using guests. The fee is charged per stay regardless of duration, and covers maintenance and running costs, If the scheduled weekly water change on the hot tub falls on your arrival day please be advised the hot tub may not fully heat to ideal temp until later evening (38 degrees) We visit site each morning to check the hot tub levels as required by law, please expect us round the back. Other thing to note- we are rural area backing onto fields and in a small village however we are also on a main road and you may hear some traffic . It still feels super private and peaceful in the gardens despite this. Please do remember this is an 18th century property and very old, we have done our best to furnish and maintain it however we are surrounded by fields and you will from time to time expect some cobwebs and little visitors (ladybirds or some field mice!) And you will spot deer in the fields from time to time. The gardens are extremely hard to maintain with the size of the trees and rural vibe we try to retain- therefor please expect that sometimes the grounds can be leafy and table tops can sometimes be covered in leaves by the time you arrive regardless if we clean it in the morning :)
