Description
Luing Cabin is nestled between Inverliever Forest and a clearing that leads down to the majestic Loch Awe. It's one of the many cabins dotted around the woods and loch side here by the friendly village of Dalavich. The area is perfect for lovers of the outdoor life, and is a great place for fishing, kayaking, hiking, cycling and wild swimming. A place to get away from it all, slow down, relax and explore. STL License number: AR01340F Energy Performance Certificate Rating: F The space Designed by modernist architect duo Hird and Brooks the cabin is the perfect combination of functionality and comfort. The cabin provides accommodation for six across two double bedrooms and a bunk room and is ideal for families, couples and groups of friends. The rooms are all small, so groups of six adults/teenagers may find the space too small for their needs. Maximum capacity is 6 including infants. The cabin is simple, cosy and comfortable with a south facing sun room which is perfect for dining, a wood burning stove in the living area to keep things cosy and an upstairs seating area with views down to Loch Awe. There's also free Wifi, a TV with freesat and a trunk full of toys and games if the weather means you'd prefer to stay indoors. Towels and bedlinen are provided, as is firewood to get you going. The cabin is let out to guests largely from March - October and is a family holiday home the rest of the year. Guest access The cabin is in a beautiful, remote location, 14 miles along a single track road from the closest town. The village has a shop/cafe/post office and a community centre/pub but it is recommended that you bring the supplies you need for your stay with you. Other things to note Fishing rights within the cabin site are included in your booking. The upper spaces (mezzanine seating area and upper bedroom) are accessed via a steep wooden paddle staircase which is problematic for people with restricted mobility. This staircase is also potentially dangerous for toddlers. The design of it means that no stair guard can be fitted. Please be aware of this when booking. I also store peanuts (for the local squirrels/birds) in a sealed container in the kitchen. Please contact me should you or any of your party have a nut allergy
