Originally designed by Mrs Drake, a relative of Sir Francis Drake and an antique dealer, the home is filled with character and warmth, featuring beautiful jarrah accents, lead-crystal doors, deep sash window seats, antique furnishings and thoughtfully curated interiors. Spacious living and dining areas, a fully equipped country kitchen, cosy wood fires and peaceful forest surrounds create an inviting place to relax in every season. Guest access You have use if the whole house and gardens except for two-storerooms and the attic mezzine due to Shire lodging house regulations! Other things to note Some guests have missed that we don't have a washing machine (our Shire regulations prohibit one), but there are two laundries in town where you can wash clothes and nip out for a coffee else drink in the pub, whilst awaiting your washing.
