Cozy retreat in the middle of the Atlantic Forest

In the midst of the biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest, preserved by the Itaberaba State Park, it is possible to disconnect from urban daily life and establish a connection with nature. The space Refúgio Gûyrá occupies a space of 31 hectares, permeated by areas of Atlantic Forest, streams and waterfalls, lakes, trails, vegetable garden, orchard, chicken coop and meliponary. The space makes it possible to socialize experiences, observation of the environment, the daily life of rural life and the possibility of contributing to the generation of work and local income. Ideal for small groups of friends, family, including children and elderly, environmental scholars, bird watchers and nature lovers. The Gûyrá Refuge is in the ITABERABA State Park area, which enables environmental education activities, recreation in contact with nature and ecological tourism. In our space you can have the experience of observing, with luck, several species of the fauna, such as squirrels, hares, saracuras, biguás, jacu, martim pescador, coró-coró, curicaca, toucanos, saíras, woodpecker, marmosets of the mountain, among several others. As part of nature, all water that supplies the place is potable, such as taps, showers and swimming pool, coming from mountain springs. The energy is generated by a photovoltaic system and we have waste bins for separation of waste. To make hosting even easier, we have a small grocery store with firewood, charcoal, beverages, cheese, ice cream and some items with products from the Atlantic Forest. In addition, we can indicate food assistance (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and delivery of breads, cakes, cheeses and organic products. Check availability. ABOUT ACCOMMODATION AND AMENITIES We currently have a patio house, with 3 bedrooms, a mezzanine mounted as a bedroom (with a lower right foot - most used for children), living room, kitchen and bathrooms. With internet and wi-fi access, you have the option to stay connected, perform your work and use streaming services (Netflix, Prime, etc.) on smart tv. The connection is of good quality, by means of fiber optic with 300 mb, however, because it is a rural place, it can suffer oscillations due to the time. We also have a basic cable television package with varied channels. We also have a swimming pool integrated with the leisure space, with pergolated, kitchen, barbecue, stove and wood-burning oven, and the entire house is equipped with all the utensils necessary for comfort during the stay. For those who like hiking, hiking and bike stoppers, it is also possible to develop tourist, sports and environmental education activities. We have bicycles available during rentals. For the trails, considering the amount of fauna, with large animals, we recommend the tour with guides, which we can indicate. Oh, and to ensure the complete farm setting, we have a dog that lives on the farm, Nina. Super gentle, companionable and affectionate. Guest access About the location and arrival. Gûyrá Refuge is located in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, about 65 km from the Capital, and can be reached through the cities of Santa Isabel, Arujá or Igaratá. There is a route of approximately 7 km on an easily accessible dirt road, much of it bordering the Park, and which already provides biodiversity observation along the way. Main distances: São Paulo (SP) 65 km; Arujá (SP) 22 km; Santa Isabel (SP) 17 km. We can point out restaurants/country market, located about 6 km away, for basic and diversified shopping, as well as artisanal cheese suppliers for on-site delivery. Other things to note GUIDELINES: - With the reservation, the entire space is for you. - The price includes cleaning! - KITCHEN. We have an indoor and outdoor kitchen, both equipped. We provide dish towels, tablecloths, detergent, a scouring pad, some seasonings and basic items such as coffee, a strainer, oil, salt and sugar. We also have a blender, microwave, sandwich maker, toaster and two coffee makers (one electric and one NESPRESSO - with capsules at the guests' expense) - BEDROOMS. We have 3 bedrooms, distributed as follows: bedroom 1 has a double bed; bedroom 2 has a double bed and a single bed; bedroom 3 has a double bed and a double sofa bed Mezzanine, with low ceiling height - ideal for children, with a double mattress and a double futon. The house is well ventilated, but the rooms still have portable fans. In the cold season, we provide two electric oil heaters to help warm the environment. We have bed linen and pillows available for 10 people, with cotton sheet sets. In the cold season, we provide blankets, if needed. - BATHROOM. The house has 2 internal bathrooms and 1 bathroom in the pool area. We have a bathroom set with a mat, bath and face towels available for 10 people. We provide toilet paper (no replacement), liquid soap (no replacement) and a hairdryer. We do not offer pool towels. - SWIMMING POOL. The pool uses water that comes down from the mountains, receiving minimal treatment for use. It is not heated. As the region has many trees, you may need to remove some leaves during the day if it is windy. In the pool area, we have a shower, chairs, umbrellas, sun loungers and a pergola. - EXTERNAL KITCHEN. We have a barbecue, stove/oven, wood-burning oven, a refrigerator and a freezer. On site, you will find a grill, skewers, coarse salt, boards and other basic kitchen items, such as dishes, cutlery, pots, glasses and beer glasses. - PETS. Dogs are welcome, with the caution of being inside a State Park, in addition to the person who takes care of the place, which imposes care and limits. - PARTIES. Small events are possible, as long as some rules are observed. There cannot be more people than those listed on the reservation. Parties with more people than reported are only allowed with prior notice and written authorization. If agreed, there will be a “day use” charge without an overnight stay. Because we are in a State Park, the use of fireworks or any other device that causes a bang or light effect is prohibited. The use of sound equipment should avoid volume incompatible with the preservation of the fauna and common sense, reducing impacts to the site. - VOLTAGE. 110W - NATURE. Because the space is in the State Park area, caution is required with the fauna present. For the trails, considering the presence of animals, we recommend the use of local guides, which we can indicate. IT IS FORBIDDEN to suppress any species of flora, hunting, fishing, capturing wild animals or assembling hunting artifacts, as well as providing maltreatment or inadequate feeding to the local fauna. It is also important not to use chemicals for bathing or washing objects in existing natural or artificial water bodies; Because we are in a preserved area, seasonal rains are possible in the summer and high humidity in the winter. This can wet the balcony, cause the internet to flicker and bring mud to the road, but nothing that compromises the experience. We will always be available if needed.
