Our farmhouse is in Queaux which lies between the small market towns of Lussac les Chateaux and L'Isle-Jourdain, about 40 minutes southeast of Poitiers. It is ideally suited for a completely relaxing holiday, or as a base to visit some of the most interesting, historic and picturesque regions of France. There is a large private garden with a substantial pool, 12m by 6m and the river is just a 2 minute walk away with a large play area and beach area. The space There is a large, well equipped kitchen/dining room with a table and chairs for ten and a 'Charentaise' fireplace Down two steps there is a hallway leading to a ground floor toilet and adjacent shower room and double bedroom. Stairs lead up to first floor. On the first floor you will find three further bedrooms and a toilet. These bedroom are in the converted attic and therefore have some restricted access. The triple bedroom (3 single beds) and one double bedroom with cot have a large step up into the room while at the same time having to duck under the ceiling beam! A further triple bedroom (one double, one single and cot) has a beam across the centre of the room. The large double heighted living room with a door to the garden has two large sofas and a desk. Up two steps to second living room/ games room with a small pool table and access to Double bedroom, with double french doors to the garden. There is a staircase to bathroom with bath and shower and toilet. We have a large planted garden with many places available for you to choose a good spot to sit, either in the shade or the sun, and a large wooden table for 15 people. There is a washing machine and a number of sun loungers around the pool. Guest access There is ample parking on the property and the large swimming pool is gated for saftey. Registration Details 0000
