Description
Holiday or work .. we look forward to welcoming you. Our home is a comfortable, relaxed haven within a safe, child-friendly Eco-estate. It's spacious enough so everyone can spread out, relax and do their own thing but with enough room to come together too. There's fast wifi for work or play, the views are magnificent and we're close enough to the beaches and the shops to make the location very convenient. Hout Bay is a wonderful village with a great community feeling. We love it! The space Our entertainment areas are open plan with the large kitchen, pantry/utility room, dining area, lounge and study opening out via bi-fold doors onto the patio, very large pool (65,000L) and terraced garden. There's room to kick a football or jump on the (in-ground) trampoline. Cook in the well stocked kitchen or braai if it's a glorious wind free evening. Dine either on the patio whilst enjoying the exquisite sunset or inside at the table. Every night is different and incredibly awesome. Entrance to the house is via the front door at the top of the house. A double volume hallway leads immediately to the two main upstairs bedrooms and a staircase to the lower part of the house. Both bedrooms are also double volume, 25m2, with access via bi-fold doors to a shared balcony with views of the back of table mountain. The main bedroom has a king-size bed with en-suite shower room, walk-in wardrobe and a large corner sofa. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, large wardrobe, desk. It shares a bathroom downstairs with bedroom 3. The two downstairs bedrooms are smaller and cosier: Bedroom 3, has a queen sized bed, black out blind, desk, bookcase and hanging rail. Bedroom 4, has a double bed, en-suite shower room, it's own entrance and access to the outside shower (backlit). All the linen is cotton, the pillows generally memory foam and the beds are new and (we think) very comfy! There is a separate TV room / bunker room with Apple TV / Netflix and huge big comfy chairs to relax into on Cape Town's wilder windy days! There's an x-box One, LOADS of books for all ages and genres and a few toys, mainly LEGO. The Eco-estate has a play park for the children with an area to play football. There are walking trails. Our housekeeper and gardener/pool guy come every Thursday (this is included in the price). Extra cleaning can be arranged on request at added cost. The house is not heated. There is an open fire in the kitchen / lounge area which generally keeps the house warm during the normally mild winters. Guest access You will have access to the entire house, pool and garden, only the garages will be locked. There is parking in the driveway for a couple of cars. Other things to note We have a cat called Minnie, she is 2 years old, very pretty, incredibly aloof and fiercely independent. Generally when the house is Airbnb'd we leave her at home and she disappears for most of the time around the Estate. Every night she comes home and finds either a cosy blanket or a comfy chair to sleep on. She is a short haired cat, so no real issues with cat hair around the house. Previous guests have been happy to see her and feed her, if HOWEVER, you are not happy with this arrangement or you are allergic to cats we can make a plan for her.
