"Hairdressing Room" Violet Art Loft

FRISIERZIMMER – ART LOFTS offer stay & work opportunities in the center of Vienna. They are located in a beautiful 19th century historic building in a quiet side street of the main Viennese shopping area in the 6th district. The careful and high qualitative renovation design follows an Art Loft concept incorporating existing historic architectural elements. The fully equipped apartments are perfectly located right next to Mariahilferstrasse, Vienna’s pedestrian area and main commercial street. The space The neighborhood is one of the most vital and active areas in Vienna, art galleries, shopping, commercial, cultural amenities and public transportation (subway stations Zieglergasse or Neubaugasse on U3 subway line) are located within walking radius. The city center (Ringstrasse, Hofburg, Staatsoper, Museumsquartier) can be reached within 10 min by public transportation or within 20 min walk. It`s name “FRISIERZIMMER” was chosen in remembrance of the place that existed 80 years ago at the same spot – A HAIRDRESSER`S ROOM. During renovation an old original painting, which was part of the old HAIRDRESSER`S ROOM, was discovered on the wall. It was lovely restored and integrated into the FRISIERZIMMER GREY. The story of being a hairdresser ended in the 1970´s – but FRISIERZIMMER – ART LOFTS keep the remembrance of the original spot alive. FRISIERZIMMER VIOLET – ART LOFT is a fully equipped apartment for a maximum of 4 people situated in a 19th century building. It is approximately 25 m2 (approx. 269 ft2) and has an open space character. The loft has been carefully designed by an architect and is equipped with a wardrobe, separate toilet & bathroom, queen size bed (160cm) for 2 people on the mezzanine level, living area (an expandable sofa for 2 additional people), dinner area and a small kitchen. Bed sheets and linen, towels, breakfast coffee/ tea, TV and Wireless will be provided. SUBWAY The apartment is located right adjacent to the central pedestrian zone Mariahilferstrasse, approx. 100m near the subway Station Zieglergasse on the U3 Orange Line. STREETPARKING Parking duration: maximum 2 hours This is valid from Monday to Friday (working days) from 9am until 10pm Approx. 2 € / hour LONGSTAY PARKING 1. Garage – Next to the apartments Garage Generali Center, Damböckgasse 4, 1060 Wien Approx. 25 €/ day Approx. 5 min walk from the apartments 2. FOR BIG GROUPS UP TO 8 PERSONS: If specially needed the FRISIERZIMMER GREY can be booked in combination with FRISIERZIMMER TURQUOISE. It can be combined to one single apartment for 8 people. We are happy to welcome you! Other things to note There are detailed Directions and Check In / Check Out information on your guest confirmation sheet. We tried our best to offer highest technical comfort for ventilation, heating & cooling. But please be aware that the apt is located in a historic building, and we renovated it with a lot of care of the existing historic building layout. This means that the technical solution of the AC (location /size of the portable AC unit, etc) have been implementated in respect and appropriate with the historic building layout and condition and might differ from the technical possibilities being available or that one might expect in a new-built, modern built building. Regarding the AC and ventilation: The AC unit can be turned on & off with the white remote control. The portable AC unit (and the ventilation) are connected with the central heating, and are automatically disconnected from electrical power when the gas central heating prepares the hot water. This is required by law, so that no CO2 is sucked in the house. These periods are not very long, inbetween the AC & ventilation can be used normally. Regarding the heating system: The radiators are regulated automatically by the gas central heating in order to maintain a constant temperature of about 21degrees. Please be aware that the radiators are not always hot, but only during the period when they heat up to achieve the set temperature. If it is too hot, you can always turn off each radiator by the white knob on the side of the radiator. You can always adjust the room temperature additionally with the thermostat near the door, this regulates the electric floor heating. Wooden stair to the mezzanine level (queen size bed): Please note that the wooden stair to the mezzanine level is narrow and steep. The railing on the stair and mezzanine level are lower than 1 meter. Please look closely at the pictures and description and decide before completing the booking according to your specific mobility needs if the situation fits your abilities. Going up and down the stair might be difficult especially for senior people or persons with reduced mobility. In any case please be careful while using it, as the use is on your own risk and parents are responsible for their children.
