All you need to do is lock in a booking and we'll take care of the rest!!! How does this sound for starters - You'll meander through our unassuming working farm, past the house and farm shed, until you nestle down in to a hidden cove by the 'creek' surrounded by native landscaping. Awaiting at the site of your Unique Date Night, you will discover a 2 person wood fired hot tub (there is no shower available yet), luxurious belle tent (heated with a wood fire to keep it toasty even during the most cold winter nights), and a 2m projector screen and sound system ready to play your favourite tunes or movies. We have taken care of dinner - our burger box (meat, cheese, salad greens, turkish bread and sauces), sweets and other goodies accompanied by a glass of wine and locally brewed beer. As the sun disappears, you might like to make use of the selection of movies available via the selection on the tablet (or byo USB) to play on the big screen, or enjoy the serenity and wrap yourselves in luxurious robes and star gaze with a mug of hot chocolate. At the end of the night, you will land in a king size bed with plush linen and your choice of pillows. In the morning, please take your time checking out - enjoy waking with the bird song, a leisurely brekky cooked on the barbeque, and maybe another dip in that beautiful tub - we'll leave supplies so you can light it, if you decide to (the stainless maintains heat remarkably well). The property is completely off grid so you can truly slow down, and enjoy the seclusion, focusing on your favourite person without the interruptions that come with being connected! Mobile reception is sketchy at best, so please bring any movies on your external storage device (we do provide a selection on hard drive). Enjoy being off grid and the uninterrupted quality time with your favourite person. Friday night bookings - I am quite often in meetings on Friday so please ask about an early check in and I'll tell you how to light the hot tub!!! All other days, the hot tub will be lit prior to your arrival. Please keep the cover on the hot tub whenever it’s not in use, and if you remember to open the tap to empty the hot tub before you leave, we really appreciated it! Note also - we do live in an area with other farms surrounding us. Our neighbours are absolutely wonderful, and part of their ideal life is being able to let their kiddies ride a motorbike, cut firewood, or maybe plough or slash their paddocks. We truly hope that any noise associated with these pastimes/farming endeavors, are limited from dusk-morning so that your peace isn't disrupted and you can enjoy a peaceful stay with us in the countryside! In partnership with Vision Photography Canberra, we are excited to offer our guests an amazing value mini shoot. $170 will give you up to 30 minute session and 10 high quality images, provided electronically. The shoot will take place during the date night (not transferable to another location). We will put you in touch with the team on booking, if you would like to take advantage of this great offer. Wildlife - you will probably spot wombats, kangaroos, wallabies and bunnies (most recently we can add multiple spottings of an echidna, and owl visits), as well as our horses and sheep. Your stay is on a working farm and you are welcome to interact with the horses, please beware the fences are electric and we ask that you stay on the safe side of the fence. While they're friendly, we would hate for your toes to be accidentally stood on! Cats - we have two kitties who have decided they just might like to follow guests 'home' if they visit us at the house. They will probably snoop around the site a little and then wander back home, so please don't be alarmed, and any nastiness towards them or any other animals on the property, will not be tolerated. Dietary requirements - Please talk to us if you have any allergies we should be aware of. While we make every endeavor to cater for dietary needs, the majority of the items are sourced from delicatessens, and as such we cannot guarantee there has been no cross contamination. If you are joining us for a special celebration, we would love to help customise your package, limited only by your imagination! I can picture the tent full of helium balloons, or you might be celebrating a milestone that calls for a special bouquet (check out hyacinthbouquets in Bungendore, we can have it in the tent ready for your arrival) custom made cake/cupcakes (Haddie's cupcakes), pre-mix cocktails, a simple scattering of rose petals on the bed....for a few ideas! Fire safety - We provide plenty of wood and fire starters. If the fire in the tub goes out, it takes a minimum of 2 hours to warm back up to 38 degrees in cold weather. If you're visiting in summer, we can keep it as a refreshing 'plunge bath', or heated - please let us know if you have a preference. We won't light the fireplace in the tent for you in summer but there will be supplies so you can light it during the evening if you need it. During times of increased fire danger, we ask that you refrain from using the fire pit - no supplies will be available to light it at these times. Access - your drive to the site is across about 5km of dirt road, it's all weather and any vehicle can safely drive down, but there will be potholes to dodge and corrugations to add to your adventure. In the last 2 weeks we've had all sorts of vehicles from a Porche Carrera, BMW 5 series and a number of 4wds. If you have the choice, we recommend AWD or 4WD. Directions will be provided on booking, but we are near Tarago, you will reach us in under an hour from Canberra, 30 minutes from Bungendore or Goulburn, and 2-3 hours from Sydney. Check in from 3pm, check out 1pm (we will do our best to accommodate special requests outside of these times if there are no conflicting bookings, please ask). Strictly no smoking inside the tent please. We've spent years dreaming about this concept, and truly hope it's a wonderful and memorable experience for all of our guests. Please note, as we are 100% reliant on our (solar generated) battery power, we do not permit charging of electric vehicles at this listing. Movies anyone!? The projector connects to a tablet where the movie is played from. We do have a small selection of movies on the tablet provided, but you can also BYO device with pre-downloaded movies (*there is no internet at the site).
