Situated in the centre of Windsor and a couple of minutes’ walk to The Long Walk, it is located behind the picturesque Alexander park. 1 minutes walk to The River 2 minute to the restaurant and shops. 3 minute walk to Windsor Castle 3 min walk to Windsor Train station (Railway access to Paddington London in 25 minutes) Legoland and Thorpe park are only a short drive away. Once part of the original coach houses that served the castle, this historic gem has been thoughtfully refurbished to a high standard—retaining its original charm while offering modern comfort. 🏡 The Space Windsor Retreat Cottage is a two-floor property, lovingly styled to give guests an authentic and elegant experience of Windsor and Eton. Full of character, from exposed period features to carefully curated interiors, it’s a cosy home that balances timeless heritage with welcoming warmth. • 🛋️ The lounge is bright and inviting, with a QLED TV, an electric fireplace to set the mood, and a dedicated workspace—ideal for both relaxing evenings and productive moments. • 🍽️ The kitchen blends Old English charm with modern functionality. It features a dining table, built-in breakfast bar, coffee machine, and a delightful tea collection—perfect for slow mornings. My personal favourite is to enjoy my coffee just steps away, by the peaceful riverbank. 🛏️ Bedrooms • The master bedroom boasts a beautiful four-poster bed and tasteful period décor. • The second bedroom has its own en-suite (please note: all en-suites are WC-only) and access to a charming roof terrace overlooking Windsor’s historic railway arches. • The third bedroom also features a private en-suite (please note: all en-suites are WC-only). 🚿 The only shower is located in the family bathroom on the ground floor. 🍼 For families with young children, an infant cot seat is available. (It is suitable till age 1 year) 🌀 Please Note The home features a narrow Victorian spiral staircase—a beautiful masterpiece that adds real character to the cottage. While it’s a stunning architectural feature, it may be difficult to navigate with large suitcases and could pose challenges for elderly guests or those with limited mobility. Please also note that there are no staircase safety gates, so families with young children should take extra care. We highly recommend checking the photos to assess accessibility before booking. 🌊 Riverside Living Located on the first residential street off the river, Windsor Retreat Cottage offers an unbeatable location. Spend your days enjoying riverside walks, feeding the ducks, or hopping on a boat trip—an easy and memorable way to take in the local charm. Eton Bridge is just a short walk away, connecting you to the Eton college and delightful shops, pubs, and cafés on both sides of the river. 📍 Location Highlights Despite being nestled on a quiet residential street, you’re just moments away from Windsor Castle, scenic walks, and the best of Windsor and Eton’s restaurants, galleries, antique shops, and bookshops. Most of the local attractions are a walking distance away. Eton colleague, Ascot and Windsor race course. Lego land are within 15 min drive way. London is a train journey away and there are 2 train stations with frequents trains through out the day . Windsor and Eton train station is walking distance away and has train links to London. Slough train station is also 10min train distance or there is a paid car park on site. Trains are more frequent at the Slough station . Motorway links are very good. Nearest Airport is Heathrow. Other things to note Please note that the spiral staircase is a narrow staircase. please refer to pictures. If you small children or struggle with stairs then it may be unsuitable for you. 2 There is only 1 shower room. The en-suites don’t have shower facilities 3 As the property is located very centrally located and is close to the high street and restaurants. There are 2 night clubs near by and on weekends they may be noisy, although we are not very near them but if you like very quiet spaces them on weekend it may be noisy at night.
