A beautiful backyard view of Glassy mountain at the end of Timpson cove. The cabin structure was built in 1920 as Timpson Creek School House. Only 1750 feet from Anchorage Marina on Lake Burton where you can rent a pontoon boat & cruise around the prettiest lake in Georgia. This area is surrounded by well stock, trout streams. 7 miles from Clayton a mountain community that is known for its thriving downtown, unique lodging, outdoor recreation and restaurants. The space The cabin is sitting on 2.75 acres with plenty of yard space in the back. Apple trees, and a view of Glassy mountain can be seen from the back deck. we are less than a mile from Lake Burton Beach area. Guest access All areas of the property except the large storage barn. Other things to note The cabin is an old school house that was built in the 1920s. It was called Timpson Creek School House. The tornado in 2011 pretty much destroyed the house and I rebuilt in 2013 but all the old windows and some of the outside lumber were saved and used in the rebuild.
