Reconnect with nature at Hilltop Hideaway. Our idyllic, luxury shepherd's hut hidden away on the peak of the Staffordshire Moorlands - remote yet surrounded by stunning walking & cycling routes. You'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of The Roaches, Wildboarclough, Peak District and beyond! The hut was built brand new (completed Jan '22), with underfloor heating, mini-kitchen, shower & cassette toilet all self-contained! Find everything you need for a cosy retreat or romantic getaway. The space Our brand new shepherd's hut has underfloor heating to keep you warm in all weathers, a small but well-equipped kitchen with gas hob, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster (tea, coffee, salt, pepper, some herbs and cooking utensils provided), plus Belfast sink, and a breakfast bar with a view - perfect for sunsets! . It also has a bathroom with rainfall power shower, cassette toilet and sink. Plus Wifi and a HD smart TV with Netflix - everything you need for a luxurious escape in nature. Hilltop Hideaway is perfect for romantic getaways, relaxing escapes with a friend, a walking holiday, or somewhere to just take a break. And once you step out of the hut, the panoramic views of the surrounding areas are breath-taking and offer some of the most beautiful sun rises and sunsets, plus stunning star gazing on clear nights. Book a private yoga session in the back garden overlooking the views. And bond with your cute neighbours - a very friendly flock of sheep (and their lambs in spring), lookout for fish in the on-site pond, and don't be surprised if you see and hear owls at night as well as lots of other woodland wildlife. There are 2 local pubs within 10 mins walking distance: The Rose & Crown does food and often has live music and other events on. The Foxhound - here you can sip some tasty beers with the locals. Guest access We have 1 car parking space on site for guests. Other things to note Breakfast - We provide tea, coffee, basic cereals and milk for guests - let us know if you prefer non-dairy milk when you book and we will arrange that for you! :) Enhance Your Stay with your own Private Garden Yoga Session. We’re excited to now offer PRIVATE YOGA SESSIONS during your stay, held in the peaceful private garden behind your hut — the perfect way to unwind or energise. Your instructor, Laura, is a qualified yoga teacher and offers a variety of classes tailored to all levels. Whether you're looking to gently ease into relaxation or fire up your energy with a dynamic flow, Laura will deliver a session just for you. Yoga mats are provided. No experience necessary, the class will be tailored to your level. If you'd like to book a session, just let us know when you reserve your stay to arrange.
