The space Welcome Retreat Achnacoin is one of two detached 2 bedroom cottages within fenced grounds. Families or friends can book both when available and have the convenience of being next door but with their own space and privacy. We have our own 7 acre field above The River Orchy with a burn running down the west side. With spectacular views and the sound of running water this re-wilded space is now available for cottage guests to enjoy and is a great spot for a gentle stroll with each other, your dog, photography or stargazing. This 2 bedroom cottage is cosy and compact but with well-proportioned spaces. Modern and well-insulated with gas central heating and radiators, the house warms very quickly from a high efficiency combi boiler and retains heat well. There is a separate kitchen and adjoining living room. The kitchen is well-equipped with a Range Cooker, Dishwasher. Lavazza A Modo Mia Espresso Coffee Machine, Panini Machine, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer and Washing Machine. The kitchen back door leads out to the large timber veranda/deck. In the living room is a two-seater sofa, footstool, small table, two armchairs, Free Sat Smart TV and log burning stove. French windows onto deck/veranda. There is space in the hallway to set up the drop leaf dining table and 4 chairs. The twin bedroom has a single wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The spacious double bedroom has a chest of drawers and double wardrobe. There is a good-sized hall cupboard with iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, clothes airer and shelving. The bathroom has separate shower and bath. Extractor fan, shaver socket and centrally heated towel rail. In the hall is a mixture of books including some for children. You will find an old scrabble board and playing cards. A travel cot can be put up in the double bedroom if requested at time of booking or in advance of arrival date. Having Fast Fibre Wi-Fi this warm and comfortable cottage also makes a great base for a work from home holiday in the beautiful Scottish West Highlands. Guest access Private Parking at blue double gates to rear/side or on in lay-by on road outside without restrictions. Other things to note For maintenance we sometimes use the garden shed and outside taps on the house.
