Over the Moon - Unique Hideaway in Shared Home!

Description

GROUND FLOOR SINGLE/TWIN (folding chair, SUIT CARER/CHILD)+ SHARED BATHROOM on a small 19th century hill farm, easing gently into the 21st! Around 30 years ago the Western Mail reported this to be "the quietest village in Wales"! Loss of smithy, shop and PO. now make us a "hamlet" - and even quieter! The farmhouse nestles among the former workers' cottages, in a picture-postcard valley between the Radnor Hills and the Cambrian Mountains. ADDITIONAL ROOMS upstairs for members of the same group. The space Our immediate family consists of "farmboy" Sarah (40-something), ginger tom cats Tomothy, Marmalade amd Tinker, Noggin the donk, a handful of feathers and armfuls of wool! Our extended family is scattered but warmly interconnected, and growing, for our home welcomes all as family, offering the rough and muddy with the smooth and humorous! There is a variety of private spaces to snuggle down, to rest, to plan, To Be... There are spaces and opportunities for sharing, inside and out... ...including the kitchen and including food! You are most welcome to make yourself at home here, to bring food to cook or reheat. Fridge and freezer space is limited, but, if you let me know your prospective storage requirements in relation to your length of stay, we are happy to share these spaces too! PLEASE NOTE : I do not offer "breakfast included", as, with the patterns and demands of farm care, and the distance to the shops, i cannot guarantee i will have the opportunity to ensure all supplies are present or fresh! (Pricing reflects this DIY catering). I do, however, invite you to help yourselves to whatever is available, as a stop-gap in your own provisioning or to complement what you have brought. For donations toward this, there is a henny penny bank on the windowsill! Guest access Easy access to all facilities, including bathroom, all on ground floor, makes this room also suitable for most adventurous persons with mobility issues! Shower is larger than average and has seat. A pull out chair converts to a substantial bed for companion/carer to be at hand. Alternatively, an additional room may be available, on request. PLEASE ENQUIRE, BEFORE BOOKING, to ENSURE SUITABILITY re.specific needs. Private parking in the garden. During your stay Fleece, Fur and Feathers are available to welcome you, and amuse you all the time. Our own schedules are more varied and unpredictable, but offering a "welcome in the hillside" has long been a deep purpose of this place, and we look forward to meeting you, introducing you, and making your visit as comfortable as possible. Please note that Sarah is challenged by neurodivergence, prefering not to shake hands, be in close physical proximity, or make eye contact, but she does make exceedingly good cakes! Other things to note The outstanding QUALITY of this UNIQUE HIDEAWAY in a SHARED HOME, confirmed by so many delighted reviews, is its absolute SERENITY - a profound stillness and night sky darkness - conducive to a deep detox. In sympathy with the overall 19th century ambiance of a working farmhouse cottage to support this GENTLE LIVING, there is no TV, patchy mobile reception (certain spots outside only...mainly up the hill!), and wifi suitable for just modest 21st century needs. While the room has a small desk, this is not a "work space" - unless you work with pen and paper, or maybe quill and parchment! - but it is the dreamiest idyll in which to REST, RETUNE, REIGNITE YOUR CREATIVITY....! A WORD ABOUT "CLEANLINESS"!! As a former health care professional and now carer of animals, hygiene is tops in all daily routines in all areas. "Cleanliness" is, however, of a standard realistically achievable and, let's face it, relaxed, on a working farm, and in a cottage with sometimes dusty renovations in progress! But, be reassured, your own cleaning needs are served by the recent addition of a bathroom, and, by negotiation, a washing machine. I lived here 10 years without either, and life was just as sweet! It is IMPORTANT to me that you are prepared for all the conditions above, that you know you are going to be comfortable with them as part of the way of life and the charm of the home i invite you to share.
