Stone-built luxurious Lakeland cottage

Number 3, located in the peaceful hamlet of Skelwith, offers a perfect base to explore the Lakes. This traditional cottage has been fully renovated to provide a wonderful, spacious home. It sleeps up to six guests (& 2 dogs), with super comfortable king size beds. There is a guest suite on the ground floor so ideal for anyone who struggles with stairs. The views from the property are stunning and the private enclosed cottage garden is a lovely place to relax. You wont be disappointed. The space Our traditional cottage is ideally situated for a holiday in the Lake District. The cottage is located under 10 minutes’ drive from Ambleside and within easy reach of Windermere and Hawkshead. It’s well suited to families with children or up to 3 couples wanting to holiday together. The property has been finished to a high standard, with home comforts and personal touches throughout. Living space The downstairs is light and airy with plenty of space for socialising with family and friends. The kitchen has recently undergone a complete transformation and features plenty of storage and modern fixtures and fittings. For your convenience there is a dishwasher and wine fridge, where you can chill a bottle of bubbly to enjoy in the evenings! There are two dining tables with ample seating as well as a breakfast bar with comfy stalls. The living room is situated on the first floor and boasts scenic views over the surrounding fells. There are two large sofas as well as cosy wing backed chairs where you can relax with a good book. There is a TV for evening entertainment and plenty of rustic features throughout. The feature wall is traditional Lakeland stone and there are beautiful oak beams. If you’re visiting in the chillier autumn months, you will benefit from our modern and energy efficient boiler. Bedrooms There are three generously sized bedrooms to choose from. They have been tastefully decorated in a pastel colour palette with modern furniture and high-quality soft furnishings. All three of the bedrooms have ensuites – one with a double walk-in shower and the others with a bath. Garden Guests can make use of a pretty garden to the rear of Cottage Number Three. Dog friendly (2 max) The property has been designed with dogs in mind. There are wooden floors throughout the downstairs area as well as utility room which provide a dog crate and plastic 95cm dog bed are provided. Guest access Cottage Number Three is owned and managed by Skelwith Fold Caravan Park. It is situated in a rural setting behind the park on a quiet residential street. Please check in directly with Reception. Follow the B5286 which will bring you to our main entrance. The cottage occupies a convenient location, just 10 minutes’ drive from Ambleside. There is a drive for one car, on street parking for additional cars and private access to the property. While the holiday cottage is separate from the caravan park, guests are free to use the parks on-site facilities which include two outdoor adventure playparks and more than 100 acres to explore (1st March to mid-November). You don’t have to venture far from the property to enjoy wonderfully scenic walks – there are plenty right on your doorstep! Keys will be made available via a key safe outside the property, instructions sent to guests immediately before their break begins. Our friendly reception team are nearby at the holiday park and can answer any questions you might have. They can also recommend things to do in the area.
