Cedar Cottage: Newhouse Farm Cottages
Description
Cedar Cottage is one of nine Grade II listed barn conversions at Newhouse Farm Cottages, set within 30 acres of rural North Devon countryside. This cosy stone cottage is full of character with exposed beams and painted stone walls. Perfect for couples or grandparents, Cedar sits next to Beech and Larch - ideal for families wanting to stay close by while having their own space with acres of grounds to explore, abundant wildlife and dark skies for stargazing. The space Enter from the shared courtyard into Cedar's comfortable open-plan living, kitchen and dining area designed for relaxing stays. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need for a self-catering holiday, making it easy to settle in for a long weekend or longer countryside break. Upstairs you’ll find a spacious king bedroom, a small dressing room and an en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. Guests can explore the wider grounds via footpaths leading down to the stream and lake, with plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife including badgers, owls, hares and deer. Cedar is particularly well suited to couples with a baby or grandparents looking for a quiet base while staying close to family. For those visiting with family, there are also outdoor play areas featuring swings, slides, a trampoline, mud kitchen, den-building area and a 9-hole crazy golf course, plus lawn space for ball games. Our small fishing lake is well stocked with carp, perch and tench. Guests have access to indoor shared facilities including a heated swimming pool (with counter-current jets), traditional sauna and games room. The pool, sauna and games room operate on a booking system, giving each cottage at least two private 45-minute sessions per day (except departure day). Guest access Guests have access to the whole cottage and there is plenty of parking in our guest car park. Other things to note Before arrival, we'll send you our digital guidebook for local recommendations, walks and everything else you might need to know about staying with us.
