The Pink Cottage

This is peaceful island getaway. A property completely off the grid, with fully environmentally sustainable infrastructure, with solar electricity and a cistern to collect rainwater. If you want crowded beach holidays with entertainment and nightlife round the corner, this is not the place for you. Here you can enjoy a serene, eco-friendly holiday stay and the chance to disconnect from modern life. One of a kind in both its primitive architecture and remote location. The space The Pink Cottage has 2 spaces. One has a simple kitchen with a gas cooktop and a small dining table. The 2nd space has a double bed and a small sitting area with a fireplace. Part of the stone ‘bench’ or ‘pagada’ of the sitting area in the 2nd space can be used as a single bed. There is a bathroom with shower. The Pink House has 2 spaces. In the first area there is a kitchenette with fireplace and an auxiliary wooden coffee table. In the second space is the bedroom with a double bed and a small living room with a fireplace. The bench of the living room becomes a 2nd single bed. The house has a bathroom with shower. Other things to note Please confirm that you have read and agreed to the following: THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE PINK COTTAGE The cottages in Koukouvagia are not connected to central electrical and water services. Instead, we use an autonomous, eco-friendly solar panel system. The water supply, is also rain water collected in a private cistern. For this reason, all of us, both hosts and guests should follow the below sustainable practices to a enjoy beautiful and carefree holiday. Please 1. Charge mobile phones in the morning 10am - 5pm 2. Turn off the lights when you leave the house 3. Be mindful of water and electricity 4. Use electronic devices up to 1000W (such as hair dryer), only from 10am to 5pm, and not simultaneously 5. Notify the host when you would like to use an electronic device over 1000W (such as hair dryer) as to ensure other devices are not used simultaneously in the other cottages 6. Make sure indoor pillows remain inside 7. Ensure refrigerator door is closed Last but not least, if you notice a green friend feeling sad next to your door, please offer a glass of water. A kind reminder: there are two friendly dogs at the property. Bianca and Rossa were rescued as puppies in August 2019. They give their love to whomever asks for it!
