A beautiful seaside family home in glorious Broadstairs, Kent, which comfortably sleeps up to two families. The space Upstairs: Main bedroom with king size bed and sea views. Twin room with sea views (can be set up as a single or twin bedroom, updated photo to follow). Bunk bedroom with garden views. Family bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs: Spacious living room with log burner, original parquet flooring, large and extremely comfy sofas, bay windows and a glimpse of the sea. Large kitchen/dining area leading on to the bright sunroom with glass roof, sofa and doors opening into the garden, with outdoor furniture and a BBQ for you to enjoy as the sun sets. Bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room overlooking the garden (curtains to be added). The house is a very short walk to the stunning Stone Bay beach, with its technicolour beach huts and dazzling blue sea. Only ten minutes’ walk away is Viking Bay, with more charming beach huts, sailing boats, Kent Surf School, deckchairs, umbrellas, loungers and children’s activities galore. Winding around the corner is Louisa Bay and Dumpton Gap, also perfect for a swim, an ice-cream and a stroll. In Broadstairs, you’ll find an abundance of restaurants, cafés, pubs and bars to enjoy a huge range of local food and drink. We can personally recommend Morelli’s for the best ice-cream in town, Star of the Sea and Flotsam and Jetsam for the finest fish and chips and The Table and Kebbells for a wonderful dining experience. Get your caffeine/pastry boost from Salt of the Earth or Staple, and for vegan smoothies, food and more great coffee there’s Namaka, next to Albariños, serving up scrumptious Spanish fare. Pop into The Neptune for a pint and wood-fired pizza, and The Chapel and Reign Bar for a cocktail or two. One thing’s for sure, you won’t go hungry here – and all of these places are just a short stroll from our house. You will also find several bakeries, two butchers’, a fishmongers, greengrocers, Tesco and Co-Op on Broadstairs high street, alongside numerous boutique-style gift shops plus traditional souvenir shops for stocking up on buckets and spades. There are several large supermarkets on the outskirts of Broadstairs, plus the shopping centre Westwood Cross. Ramsgate with its picturesque harbour and beach is a 40-minute coastal walk or a short drive away. There’s also the six-mile scenic coastal walk to Margate, taking you along Joss Bay and Botany Bay. Or visit by car/train to enjoy even more eateries, the buzzing old town, the Turner Gallery, Dreamland and more. And if you love swimming like we do, don’t miss a dip at Walpole Bay Tidal Pool, with its blissful views across the sea (be sure to go at low tide).
