This tranquil cottage has its own private dog friendly rear garden accessed via side steps, with views of Welsh countryside and the sound of the river that runs through the village. The bathroom is located on the ground floor with a small bath, shower over the bath. Electric towel heater. Towels provided. The lounge is our favourite area inside the cottage, with rustic wooden fireplace surround housing the wood burning stove. The horseshoe style sofa and armchair are the perfect seats to cosy up in front of the fire and soak up the peacefulness of Bont Dolgadfan village. Smart TV with Netflix, NOW, Youtube, Apple and Amazon prime apps available. Basket of logs provided with each booking. On the 1st floor; Bedroom one has a super king bed and bedroom two has a double bed with one side against the wall. Both bedrooms have a view of the village river and valley hillsides. On the landing is where you find Lilly's mini library area with bureau perfect for working, reading or writing a letter/post card to loved ones. Outside; stairs lead to the bistro area under the pergola. The terrace garden is perfect for outdoor eating, sitting listening to the sounds of the river, viewing the beautiful scenery or a space for your four legged friend during their stay. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat this space is for you. Guest access Separate from the cottage, private parking for 2 vehicles is provided with the booking. Direction for parking; go straight up past the cottage, (do not turn off to the left this is a private road), go up a slight incline, once you have gone past the black railings (on your left hand side), immediatly to your left you will the see the Isallt Parking sign on the entrance. This is a graveled parking area. See picture for visual of entrance. Other things to note Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport through the village. The nearest bus route is in Llanbrynmair approx. every two hours to the main town. (check the local bus times for more information) Local walks around the surrounding the area with public footpaths across fields. Good routes for keen cyclists, bring your bike and enjoy the countryside! There is a local taxi firm who we can recommend, taking private bookings at good rates. There is a small local shop/cafe in Llanbrynmair and a public house. A Spar shop is located in Carno. Large co-op, bakery's, cafe's, pubs, butchers, takeaways, leisure centre and doctors surgery found in Machlynneth. The largest town of Newtown (approx 30mins drive away) is where you find Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi, Lidi, Argos, pubs, butchers and banks.
