Description

Welcome to Tilly's House, a charming barn conversion perfect for two guests. Nestled in serene countryside between Hayle and Marazion, you'll enjoy easy access to stunning beaches on both the North and South coasts. The vibrant town of St Ives, and breathtaking landscapes of West Cornwall are just a stone's throw away so adventure awaits. Guests looking to relax can take a moment to sit back and soak in the peaceful atmosphere, enjoy a spot of star gazing or watch the sunset from the paddock. The space Tilly's House is a sanctuary away from it all, perfect for couples, tucked away in the beautiful countryside near Hayle in West Cornwall. The self catering cottage is one of four available at Frythens Cottages and the neighbouring, The Wren's Nest, Cherry Blossom and Bank Barn can also be booked through Airbnb (click my profile pic for details). Located just a 5 minute drive from the A30 and St Erth train station, all the local beaches and attractions are within easy reach of the property, making it the perfect base for exploring Cornwall. Tilly's House boasts an open plan layout comfortably accommodating two guests (we have a travel cot and highchair which can be requested for babies). Complete with a king-size bed and shower room, it caters perfectly to relaxation or a fun family holiday. Guests can enjoy listening to the birds while dining on the patio or venture out to the paddock for a spot of star gazing or to watch the sunset. The kitchen is well-equipped for making home cooked meals, featuring modern appliances like a fridge with a freezer compartment, electric oven with a gas hob, microwave, and washing machine (please note there is not a dishwasher). After a day of discovery, unwind on the cosy sofa in the living area with TV for entertainment, or simply enjoy a good book and a cup of tea in the fresh air on the patio. At the end of the day, drift off to a peaceful sleep in the comfy king-sized bed. The bedroom is equipped with bedside tables and a chest of drawers, providing all the essentials for a cosy stay. Conveniently adjoining the bedroom and down three steps is the bathroom with shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail . With an adjoining 2 acre paddock, there's plenty of outdoor space for our guests to explore! Enjoy the great outdoors, playing games, unwinding under a tree, watching the sunset or just soaking up the beauty of nature! Places Nearby: Those wishing to get out and explore will be spoilt for choice between the North and South coasts with several sandy beaches within a 10 minute drive, Marazion, Perranuthnoe, Praa Sands and Hayle to get started! The ancient market town of Marazion with St Michael’s Mount is under 4 miles away. Boasting a long sandy beach and breathtaking views, it’s a must visit during your stay. St Ives is easily accessible and definitely worth taking the short train journey via the branch line from St Erth Station (a 5 minute drive away), taking in the fantastic views across Hayle’s 3 miles of golden sands along the way. When you’re there you can enjoy the many art galleries and shops as well as take in the sea air or book a trip on one of the sightseeing boats from the harbour. Other popular places nearby include Land’s End, Porthcurno, The Minack Theatre, Porthleven and Penzance to name but a few. There are also several National Trust properties and gardens to visit including Trengwaintion, Godolphin, Glendurgan and Penrose. For those who fancy venturing a bit further then Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula is definitely recommended, as are the maritime town of Falmouth and the cathedral city of Truro and there's always the Eden Project or even the Isles of Scilly! Guest access There is ample free parking at the property. As we are located in the countryside, we recommend that you have the use of a car. Other things to note Please note that there are three steps down into the bathroom from the bedroom. We neighbour a working farm and so there are often animals in the fields around our cottages.
