Cozy cottage less than a minute from the river

Our cottage, Rockhopper, is in a small village on the banks of the River Deben. A stone’s throw from the local pub and with plenty of outdoor activities we think it’s a fab location to enjoy Suffolk’s best bits. Less than a minute walk down to the river & beach you can enjoy easy access for wild swimming, crabbing, kayaking or paddle boarding. If pubs & water based activities are not your thing, there are plenty of footpaths to explore, birdwatching & country lanes for whizzing around on bikes The space A house of two feels; the original cottage upstairs, entrance hall & lounge, has a cosy vibe and a new extension creates a spacious and bright kitchen/dining area with a more contemporary feel. There are two good-sized double bedrooms, one main bathroom, with spa bath and one downstairs shower room with toilet. The lounge has a smart tv with Sky and the large kitchen is fully equipped with all the expected mod cons and more! The open plan kitchen/dining/family room has bifold doors opening up to a fenced garden with an outside table & BBQ for alfresco dining. Guest access The rural location of the village makes it essential to have your own transport, if you wish to explore further than what is on the doorstep. You are more than welcome to bring your own kayaks & paddle boards for adventures on the waters of our beautiful river & if you’re lucky you might see the local family of seals! We have parking for two cars, one at the front of the house and one in front of the garage which is located to the right of the property down a lane (see photos). Other things to note We are happy to host children of any age just be aware the house has two double beds and is not particularly 'toddler/baby' proof (ie. no stair gate, cupboard locks, toys etc.) and you would need to bring your own travel cot & high chair. Length of stays - Our minimum stay is 2 nights. If your staying with us on a Thursday night, sorry but you might be asked to put the bins out!
