Watermill over the River Yare, kitchenette 3 beds

Keswick Mill is a Georgian and Victorian watermill over the River Yare, situated 1 mile from UEA and 2 miles from the centre of Norwich. We enjoy beautiful, secluded country surroundings, overlooking fields, the river and Marsh, whilst being a 15 minute walk to the nearest Waitrose and pubs. Great for visiting Norwich and its environs while staying in a rural location in a building with great character. Accommodation for our guests are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. We live in the building. The space We are a family of four adults, a small friendly dog and two cats. (The animals are not allowed on guest floors). We live on the 1st floor of our building. The second and third floors include 4 bedrooms, and some other rooms that we use. This listing is for three or four of those rooms, we keep one as a guest bedroom for visiting friends but we may be able to make it available to you if you request. The guest floors have their own entrance, 2 bathrooms, kitchenette and communal dining/sitting area. The mill is a grade 2 listed building with rustic charm and many unique quirks. Much of the original mill workings have been preserved (sadly no wheel). We are happy to show you around and explain how it worked. Guests should be aware that the floors and ceilings are irregular. Very tall guests may not be comfortable. We have 3 acres of garden along the Yare, which we are happy for you to use. The double and single bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. The King bedroom is on the top floor, above the bathrooms and kitchenette. We have Simba mattresses and high quality cotton bedding and towels. Each room has a night light to read by and a comfortable sitting chair. There are rails with hangers and chests for clothes storage. Our kitchenette and pantry are stocked with freshly ground coffee, teas, biscuits, milk of your choice, cereals, soups and yogurt. Other foods can be available by arrangement. There is a sink, microwave/convection oven with grill and fridge. We don't have a hob or toaster due to fire safety concerns in our wooden building. We have three guest parking spaces in front of the mill. and plenty of indoor parking for bicycles (with a station for repairs, if needed). Wild swimming, paddle boards and sauna available. (Sauna has an extra charge for electricity). Clothes washing and drying can be arranged. Guest access This accommodation booking gives you access to three bedrooms, the communal dining area, kitchenette and 2 bathrooms. You may use the garden and all river facilities. There is also a sauna available for an extra charge. During your stay There will nearly always be someone on the premises during your stay should you have questions or need help. Other things to note Please be aware we live in the building too. We keep quiet hours between 10:00 and 7:00AM.
