Our guests will stay on the lower level of our house with separate entrance and drive way, and undoubtedly, full access to all recreational facilities that we provided such as the iconic shipping container pool, fully equipped fitness studio and multifunctional entertainment room. LGBTIQA+Friendly Our retreat is owned and operated by a gay couple, therefore we are 100% LGBTIQA+ friendly. Sustainable Living Our retreat is 100% solar-powered during daylight hours (9am-3pm) with 20kw solar battery support. Additionally, we have been implementing other sustainability practice such as food waste recycling and compost, chicken & llamas manure compost, rainwater recycling, bottle & can recycling, and growing our a little of own produce. BIKUTA MALAMIA, this little twin bed room (or a king bed), with the signature bold colours and surreal style of BIKUTA MALAMIA, the mood & feel of this room is wild and fun. Australian Made Quality Bedding To enhance our guest's total experience, we invested in good quality bedding while supporting locals. ~ Aussie Wool Comfort from regional Victoria has been picked for our pillows and quilts, all are chemical-free and pure wool ~ A.H. Beard locally made mattress has been used on the queen bed ~ Brisbane made Sealy mattresses are used on the twin beds Apart from Australian made products, we also selected high quality bed linens for our guests. No matter the weather- smoggy, sunny, rainy or windy, Barnes Hill Retreat is the place to be, a new iconic weekend getaway in Brisbane. Guest access Drive to our retreat is the best option as onsite parking is available. Alternatively, you might contact various ride sharing service providers to book your travel arrangement in advance, some are operated by our locals, please do not hesitate to ask if assistance needed. Brisbane City Council does offer "Personalised Public Transport" to help residents get around the neighbourhood and to the local transport hub, can pick up and drop off passengers where safe to do so. The service is on a fixed route and it operates on a loop, $1/trip applied. However, service hours is limited, please go to the Brisbane City Council website for time table. Other things to note ***The Host*** The host is living on-site with his partner (upstairs), a furry babe, 8 hens, 3 Llamas and 6 Mini Goats. Our guests will stay at the lower level of this mega house with a seperate entrance and drive way. ***Supervision of children*** Due to our retreat is situated on the sloping site without fencing and the design of our sky pool is unique, parents should pay adequate attention to their children at all time, ensuring they are safe to enjoy the vacation on our property. ***Campfire Arrangement & Fire Safety*** We do provide a large fire pit at the designated area, a couple of quality ironbark firewood and a fire lighter torch. Please bring your own firewood and other gears if needed. Our retreat is surrounded by woodlands, attention to fire safety is crucial, especially use of firepit in the winter, do not leave fire unattended and burn over night. ***People with disabilities*** We recommend people with disabilities to contact us before booking. ***Party & Visitor*** No party and unregistered visitors allowed. ***Access to Paddock & Animal Feeding*** Please contact the host if you wanted to visit our llamas or mini goats, do not enter without permission due to animal safety and welfares.
